Field One Force - The Force Shot - Explained

While developing the Force Paintball Marker, we felt it very necessary and helpful to include the Forced Shot into the programming of the Force. This is something that is often overlooked but very important for the average and pro player alike.
The Force shot bypasses the eye system to fire a shot when the gun feels or seems to be jammed. This is a great, quick, troubleshooting feature to be familiar with in order to be as effective under tough circumstances.
The Force shot is simply engaged after the gun stops firing while the eyes are on and while the marker is aired up. You simply hold the trigger down for one second to bypass the eye system. Most often you would do this when your loader jams with paint and you are unsure as to why your Force is not shooting. This is a quick way to troubleshoot when there is a jam.

Just really happy he did a video on this, then though it is super simple stuff most old timers know. But we come from the day when ALL electro pneumatic guns had a force shot eye mode. It was originally a hold over from E-Cocker designs and old weak ball detents. Balls used to sometimes roll past the detents and eyes with force feed hoppers. Bob Long guns always had Force Shot (and Delay) and Bob swore by Force Shot. With Field One taking over where Bob left off, I'm not surprised to see the feature here. I have made an aftermarket board purchase decision in the past based solely on whether this feature was included or not. Such a vastly underappreciated and underused feature. I know a lot of companies started removing it because if you aren't careful it is a quick and easy way to cause a ball chop, and it sometimes seems superfluous now that detents are much better, but if used properly (as Mr. Greenspan shows here) it can save a ton of time and headaches.

I honestly didn't know that this was a feature other paintball marker manufacturers exempted from there markers. I have used this feature over the years way more then once to figure out what was going on with my gun on the field starting back with my 2002 intimidator. All I can say is I bought Force number 00081 and it has shot nothing but outstanding since I've gotten it.

This is board tech that my 2005 Angel Speed had - paint would break so bad sometimes that force shot was the first check, then holding the trigger down past that turned the eyes off.

I honestly am not a huge fan of tht delayed shot. I have had so many instances with my past virtue boards utilizing that delayed shot after 1 second when I was simply walking the trigger and there would be a gap in the ball stack instead of a malfunction, and the marker would dry fire after my last trigger pull and catch a ball half way into the breech chopping it. I'd prefer a 1 1/2 second delay at least so I wouldnt make the mistake of accidently holding it down for a full second when there isn't a true malfunction and have this happen during a game. At least with a good 1 1/2 second trigger hold, it's more sure that the forced/delay shot was intentional, or even the option to adjust the delay time before it force shoots, or an on/off option for the delayed shot.
@ryangreenspan
@ryangreenspan 4 жыл бұрын
No no, that is not what this does. There is no delay in the actual shooting of the gun. Did you watch the video? The shot is a forced shot that you can choose to engage when/if there is a jam or malfunction to quickly troubleshoot. The eyes are still functioning the way they were intended, this is just an override of the system.
@brucecook502
@brucecook502 4 жыл бұрын
@@ryangreenspan Of course I watched the whole video lol. It sounds like what the virtue and osme other boards used to do. You could hold the trigger down while the eyes are on and functioning but hold the trigger down for either 1/2 second or a whole second to force the marker to fire a clearing shot. Thats the reason why I had to abandon the Virtue OLED board in my Marq Victory marker, because I was accidently holding the trigger down a bit too long after the loader ws almost empty, and it would force a shot to fire while a couple more balls were falling down towards the breech and I was getting chops because of that. I went ahead and spent the $350 on the Frenzy OLED board conversion frame/kit from dirty works because the Frenzy 6.2 software did not do this, it would only fire a shot while the eye were on if a ball was blocking the eyes. The forced shot like what you demonstrated is a great feature for those situations, I just wish I could adjust the delay timing on that setting so I wouldnt have those accidents.
@jmoney881
@jmoney881 4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you watched the whole video my guy. It shouldn’t chop any balls. If you pull your trigger and nothing happens, that’s when you go with the override. Hence no ball falling down. It should have already been jammed in your situation. If your ball is falling down, it should of had plenty of time to fall into the chamber while you fired and nothing happened, then the time it takes you to think of what’s going on, then you proceed to hold down the trigger for a full second. If the gun fires when you hold the trigger down even while everything is working fine, that idk because I don’t own a Force (yet lol). That would be your question for Ryan I believe. Rock on F1!!!
@Ducati_Fratelli
@Ducati_Fratelli 4 жыл бұрын
@@brucecook502 I completely agree. For me the benefits of the force shot do not outweigh that potential for a chop at the end of basically every hopper depending on how cleanly you're pulling the trigger. A super easy fix would just be a board setting to allow this to be disabled or a different time to be set for how long the trigger needs to be held in order to force that shot.
@brucecook502
@brucecook502 4 жыл бұрын
@@jmoney881 I clearly stated that I watched the video, and did so before I posted my first comment. I completely understand how this forced shot logic works. I m aware that it is meant to either clear a shot or agitate the loader in the case of a jam or failed response on the loader's part, but I am not talking about these scenarios. What I was referring to was both the virtue oled board that I had in my victory 2 years ago, and all of the markers I owned back in the early to late 2000's that I had virtue boards in, all had this forced/delayed shot option, and I am aware of the reason for this mode. My problems were, that the marker would shoot the loader almost completely dry, but a couple balls left in the loader would quickly fall down into the breech just as I fired my last shots, and the delayed shot would initiate because I would accidently hold the trigger too long after the last shot, and the cycle of the bolt would catch one of those last balls while they are only half way into the breech. Not a malfunction, just a mishap of me activating that forced shot when there would be a gap in the ball stack and the marker fires when one of those last alls dont make it all the way in.

Okay? Did he say this is new and only technology on their guns?? Have their guns been out a decade?? He was just giving some pointers to those who own a Force and might have not known they have this feature. Chill bro, stop hating on them. I’m super pumped Dynasty (aka the team that basically helped grow the sport and have done so much for the PB community) own F1 and STARTED to make markers. I don’t recall year 1 for any brand being super amazing mkay? And their marker is pretty solid for year 1. Be supportive of a sport that we (me & you) both play and need to help grow. Not tear each other down. I’m supportive of all the PB community, players and brands. Stay calm and go paintball....
