It's easy to take for granted but Libbys video work is exceptional. Please do a reel or short video on her technique for getting such steady shots handheld. Keep up the great work guys.

Agreed, it really ‘makes’ the story - especially on a ‘journey’ story like this one! Marcel is a fun and enthusiastic host, and it’s all captured beautifully.

I like the transition between the pure sounds-recording and the spoken shots. It's like this sounds-effect underwater before coming to the surface very used in the music industry. Tanks for sharing your adventures ! 😁

Great to accompany you on these trips. I loved the video and the sound captures. I've always liked audio. I have a Zoom H1 and after starting to follow your channel I decided to start recording sounds here (Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil). Thank you Marcel and Libby. Sorry for my bad english

I haven't traveled for 2 years because of the pandemic, and I'm so excited to see your journey there. I have been to Chiang Mai 2 times and love the old town, weekend night market and temple on the hill.

We hope you can travel again soon! If you go to the weekend market now in CM, its such a difference. Years ago you couldn’t even walk because of the mass of people.

Wow, well done--- your videos keep getting better, amazing work and editing!!!! Fantastic you two, thanks for sharing. fyi, I found that the rycote handle w/ shock suspension for the sony pcm-d100 (it's in a kit, not sure if they sell it separately) works great on the X8! I didn't hear any handling noise, but might be for flexible with how you use it! Cheers to you both, can't wait for the next --- soooo good!!!!

Just wanted to say that these videos have been super helpful for me. I'm preparing to work in this field, and watching these videos and taking notes on different things has really helped me retain a lot of very useful knowledge. Plus all of the places you visit are super interesting, and I always find myself wanting to get back out and record after a video. If you're ever in Canada, you should explore Vancouver Island B.C., It's the most beautiful part of Canada with a lot of amazing sounds.

What mic world u suggest to capture the sound of a car exhaust… using x8 wondering what type of mic would easily rig from inside a car mounted next to rear exhaust

In that case you should look into a lav like the DPA 4060 heavy duty.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us! I was wondering, do you ever get stopped from recording? It happens so much with video, but I can't imagine someone stopping you from recording audio.
@FreeToUseSounds2 жыл бұрын
Correct. With audio it is different but it all depends on the equipment and how professional it looks. Also private property or public place plays a different role.

Thank you! Great Video!!! The Elektro sounds are awesome!!!! This might be a different theme but: What handheldrecorder would you recommend if not the x8? How important is 32bit recording really? Safe travells! Ps. The soundexibition is confirmed and FTUS is allready mentioned in the project discription ;-)!
@FreeToUseSounds2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow!! Thank you. Well 32 bit is really cool but as long as you keep your eyes on the gain you have no problems. People recorded great sounds before 32bit too so don’t get fixated on it. Get the recorder you have in mind and start recording. :)
@cryptotrader27792 жыл бұрын
Thanks Marcel. That was great. I enjoyed that. One question about emf recording. I've been using the ElektroUsi for the last days, but I often get no signal off the thing I'm trying to record. Is the Mini City a lot more sensitive ? The ElektroUsi I need to turn up the gain very high to hear anything, and don't get any signal at all off many things. I see videos of the Mini City or Some Ether and all you need to do is be near the object, but the ElektroUsi you need to place them directly on a strong source of emf.
@FreeToUseSounds2 жыл бұрын
Ah nice! Well I never used this set but you should ask Jonas from LOM. He can explain you the difference much better than anybody else.
@cryptotrader27792 жыл бұрын
@@FreeToUseSounds Thanks. I'll get in touch. It works great for some things though, so I'm glad I bought them. They're only 30 Euros and great fun to use for that price.
