This particular Beretta model 1935 was made for the “Regia Aeronautica Italiana” or the Italian Royal Air Force.
You can tell this just by a glance at the flying eagle inscribed on the left side of the tang, in addition along the slide legend it will read “CAL. 7.65”. As opposed to “9 Corto” aka 9 short/.380 which the Beretta 1934 was chambered in. The field stripping process in this video works for the Beretta 1934 as well.
To my knowledge the vast majority of the “RA” or Air Force and “RN” (the Royal Navy, which will have an anchor instead of an eagle on the tang) were chambered in 7.65mm/.32acp.
A fun little gun to shoot that shares many similarities to the open slide Berettas of the modern era, said feature is certainly one that Beretta has carried as a trade mark since the early 1900s and one that I find fascinating.
