.410 caliber the same caliber as the Remington 41 Magnum just a rifle bullet ranging from 135 grain to 300 grain and from 2485 fps to 3000 fps.

I noticed you shot that one doe with 2 fawns. Believe me I am not critiquing or giving you a hard time but I do have a question as I am curious. At what point can you start shooting does with fawns and the fawns still survive ? Awesome video. Any suggestions on where to get more info on this caliber?

@@danjacobs123 fawns will survive without milk after a couple of months. The DNR has done studies to make sure the crop damage hunts don’t kill a bunch of fawns. That being said, we often see these orphaned fawns all fall long and they do just fine. Around the rut, the adult does kick the fawns away for breeding season and you’ll see big groups of fawns all roaming around together. If you had to only shoot does without fawns, it would be extremely difficult to control the population. Check out the Facebook page, “41 Great Lakes Shooters” for more info or email [e-mail].

You can have a conversion made right now in a bolt gun or buy an upper/full AR from Obsidian. Check out the Facebook group, “41 Great Lakes Shooters” and you’ll see some cool stuff

Yes it is legal although I don’t know anyone who does. The deer management permits are for any antlerless deer.

@FullQuiverOutdoors you might want to re read the permit, sir... first page under conditions of permit in bold letters it reads NO SPOTTED FAWNS

@@HBoy1100​​⁠oh gotcha. In the DMA (deer management assistance) compiled rules and regulations it does not list that as an “unlawful act” or regulation. We wouldn’t shoot them anyway but I have never seen that in the actual DMA rules as set by the DNR/NRC. Is it in there or just on the sheets given to the farmer? As the title implies, it’s a new one. It’s .410 diameter and is a fast shooting, hard hitting and light recoiling cartridge. Check out the “41 Great Lakes Shooters” facebook page for more info

I have access to one. We give away a lot of deer to people in need and when it’s convenient, we’ll process a few for ourselves. But, you’d be surprised how many people want venison and will take a full deer in the summer and process it right away
