She has a video about her conversion story. But basically, she was raised in Canada in a pretty strict Jewish family who followed all of the laws. Her father is Ashkenazi and her mother is Mizrahi Jewish (Morocco and Yemen). Her mother was born in what is currently Israel. (She hasn’t confirmed this, but I think that because of her mother, she still possesses Israeli citizenship, even though she disagrees with Israel’s government and has since converted to Islam). She basically converted to Islam for theological reasons after reading the Jewish Torah and the Quran. She felt that the Islamic practices like how Muslims pray is more accurate to how the great prophets shared by both Muslims and Jews prayed. She also disagreed with the Jewish practice of referring to the opinions of Rabbis and the Talmud to interpret the scriptures, as she felt that Rabbinic interpretations of scriptures have strayed from what those scriptures actually say to do (such as how Rabbis say that Jews don’t need to prostrate to pray even though many prophets prayed that way). She looked into joining the sect of the Karaite Jews before eventually finding Islam, as the Karaite Jews only follow the Torah, but not the opinions of Rabbis and the Talmud. She eventually read the Quran and came to view the Quran as an “update” to Judaism due to the many shared beliefs between Muslims and Jews.

Why the lies? You were touring ISRAEL. There is no Palestine state, there are Palestinian authority territories (which is not where you have traveled). Your video is the prefect example of how free the state of ISRAEL and how the Arabs living in ISRAEL are free and successful (much more than in any Arab country). Most Israeli Arabs thank god everyday they live in the Jewish country and not in one of the failing Arab counties.

Israeli Arabs thank God that they were able to stay in their homeland and not be displaced. Many Palestinians were forced to become refugees in neighboring countries. They don’t thank God for being in a Jewish state that favors one ethnic group over other ethnic groups. Also, Palestinians are successful on their own bc they push to fight against occupation and apartheid. Existence is resistance !
