Cracking vid Ian, you should do more of these lifestyle type vids, regardless of promoting a product or not. You have a great storytelling ability. Loving the bags too. I picked up an X50 only last week, as I said in another vid, the innovation and quality gone into these is unrivalled. I didn’t expect the Action series could be improved on styling but yeah these Explore bags are looking pretty sick! The brown leather zip pulls against the black look very stylish indeed - you guys have got the styling on point. Might just put in an order for the E35 kit on the KS too - it’s proving to be an expensive week :/ but on a serious note, I’ve never been so impressed with any other bags in all my photography career. Well done!

Another vote here for you doing more photo walks around Japan. Most enjoyable. I was there a few years ago and miss it so much. Walking down those little alleys and streets, all the cool old doors full of character. And often so quiet. Lots of fun. Your promo vids are so low key and natural. Good on you. I picked up an X30 a year ago and while I haven’t used it as much as I wanted to I can say it was a great purchase. It carries well, is comfortable and is so well thought out. Well done. Keep it up.

I really like how you did this, and it was useful to see the set up from a practical perspective. By the way, what is your GoPro setup if you don’t mind me asking? Were you using the onboard mic?
@ShimodaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi Will. Thank you. I have a Gopro 9, while I have a bunch of Gopro doo-dads and various mic set ups - most RODE ones. I'm using this www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B08K94V6N1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with the onboard mic - I've been filming downhill road bike descents with this set up and I can't believe how clean the audio is. The foam blocks wind so well and I think it sounds as good or better than with the module. I actually just bought another one today for a second GoPro9 that I will leave set up in Narrow/tele mode. Kind of like have 2 lens to choose from - this video was all with the MAX lens.. I had done some audio in the first Field Trips video with Rode Wireless Go, but it cut out too much ambient sound and I think ambient ads to this type of video, especially here in Japan. Plus it was not nearly as spontaneous as I would like. One of the reasons I went with Gopro was it allows me to pack accurately rather than packing to vlog while packing an extra full camera set up. Ian
@willsharber3 жыл бұрын
@@ShimodaDesigns Thanks for the details! I agree the ambient sounds add a lot to the video. I’m pretty blown away at the quality of the sound from just the onboard mic and the foam. Also, I enjoyed the spontaneous nature of this video like you mentioned. Planning is great, but spontaneity feels “real”. Looking forward to more!

The 2 loudest experiences I've had in life were the Price is Right (with Bob Barker) and when I took my mom to the Hanshin Tigers play the Yomiuri (Tokyo) Giants.
