Wow, I wish I had seen this video months ago. I have been suffering from a tennis elbow from photography since last summer and couldn't lift a camera and edit photos for months... Now starting to go slightly better after many sessions of physio with choc treatments and squizzing/lifting exercises but the pain is still there (4/10 I would say). I am curious to try the knee patches as I can't stand the arm bands. Maybe something else I could recommend and that you didn't mention was to switch my regular mouse for photo editing with a vertical one. I tried several ones and the brand Trust fits the best in my hand. I am also always resting my forearms on wrist pads (long, thick and soft ones) when typing, that relieves the pain a lot. Thanks for your good tips and all the best!

I have suffered with the worst tennis elbow. From heavy lifting. I agree with your Doctor. I think one of the best things you can do is take a good NSAID. I personally think Celebrex is the best but even taking ibuprofen regularly will help a lot. I personally would take them as your doc advised as from person experience that’s all that helped. Lastly giving it a little of rest.

I just got my Explore V2 35L delivered today and I was appalled to learn that the side access only works on one side. I saw a few product review videos before ordering and surprisingly nobody mentions this, otherwise, I would've have bothered. Personally, this is a disappointment for me. I have a Lowepro 450AW that I got locally and was looking to replace it with Shimoda for street photography. Shimoda has better pocket and organization system. However, the right side access does NOT work very efficiently for right handed users and I am saying this with my own experience. While putting the camera in and trying to pull it out on the right side totally limits the right arm's range of motion which means there's very little maneuverability that you can do while doing this because in order to put the camera in sideways you need to twist your right hand to face it towards the side opening. I use a Fuji GFX camera and leses are equally big. It requires extending the right arm fully towards left and free range of motion to be able to secure it properly inside the side pocket on the left. The Lowepro does this gracefully. I just wish Shimoda could do this too because otherwise it seems to be a better bag overall. Not sure how you haven't realized this. Why not leave the decision on the user by keeping both sides available and let the user decide which side they are more comfortable using. For now, my Shimoda will need to go back unfortunately.

Hi, do you have any recommendation on how to create some kind of padding on the open side of the core unit? This would mainly be in the (hopefully) rare occasion where flight staff find the backpack either too big or too heavy - then it would have been great to just unload the core unit and take that into the passenger cabin while the backpack would be forced to go to the luggage compartment. As it is now, it feel so unprotected just having the skin around the core unit, which also is not great for carrying around... And would have helped to use the core unit in a normal hiking backpack when you don't need back access to your gear. At least, it would be my wish for the next version that the core unit could be completely closed/sealed on all sides of the cube.

9:25 What about adding and optional breathable backing on top? Some comfy padding, with mesh and separating the back pack from the back more. Maybe attached by straps. without compromising on durability of course, but it being replicable, damaging mesh or foam won't be an issue. best of both world I guess. My Evoc Explorer Pro 30L has a curved palte, operatise the backpack in the middle from my back. But that might be a problematic to implement, due to it being a photography backpack. But adding some kind of cooling solution on top of of what's already there might be an idea worth looking into.

Thx for making this vid. Great features. This backpack seems like a great back pack. Maybe 35L or 40L would be suitable for me. This back pack has features nobody else offers. And here are some nice things I noticed. 2:45 this seems like a great idea. cus sewn on mesh pockets can tear apart, but this solves that issue. It doesn't seem to have any rear light mount, But I guess one can use the straps for that, or the thing the straps go through. Any experience with that? 3:10 Seems like you went for a regular whistle, not one with detachable whistle, great, as that can easily fall off, get pushed off, it happen on my Evoc Explorer 30L. But I have some concerns and questions: How large bladder can one fit? would a 3L Hydrapak bladder fit? 3:20 I'm concerned my back would get overheated, maybe it won't, but not the time for me to test it as it's winter in Norway now, is there any reason you didn't go for a system where the backpack is separated from the back, thus giving a breeze at the back? Maybe it was necessary to omit this in favor for space and other things? 3:54 won't that plastic loop touch the back? Or does the panel it's slid through have padding to prevent that? But I like the idea of the padding being adjustable. The 30 seems like a good size for a mountain biker, the 40 seems like it could work too. Without interfering with a neck brace. The 30 for sure will. Maybe laptop sleeve would suit having bicycle tools and small spares in a similar thing you pulled out of it. Like a tool pouch. But a tool pouch would make it easier to swap between backpacks, so dedicated tool compartment is probably not a deal breaker, as long as I have easy access to it.🤔 I see there doesn't seem to be a dedicated compartment for it. Things I need to carry: shock pump, Fumpa pump inflator, multi tool, tyre plug kit, zip ties, spare bash guide, small tools. I guess action cam batteries could go most places. I guess front pockets would suit that, maybe some in the core unit.

6:14 Seems like it's good padding. I think I sohuld get the inserts. But will look into the backpack. Features I would like to see: 6:37 One of my concerns with all photography backpacks I've seen including yours is the back isn't as well ventilated as my Evoc Explorer 30L mountain bike backpack. Which has a curved plate in it, so contents are separated from the back. So maybe something to do for future backpack? or is there a reason this feature is omitted? Keeping my back well vented is important for me. But the inserts are interesting, not sure which one I would need. I see the Action X30 v2 Solves the other wish I had, it has a helmet holder and straps.

Awesome explanation! I've got a Action x50 V2 and I think it's probably the best field camera backpack I ever owned. I just don't like very much one thing, but maybe it's just me: the chest strap tend to be too loose for me after a year or so of heavy use. Even if I shorten it to the minimum lenght, it's still a bit too loose. And I'm definitely not a small-chested human, let's call it a average size (ex-rugby player, trained) 1,76 cm tall man. Aside from that, your backpacks are awesome! My wife has the X30 and she loves it so much
