What the hell made that damn game so magical?? I remember playing so much it felt like the real world was a game and WOW was home. I was in Costco and this lady came toward me with a buggy a little fast and I thought for a second that I pulled aggro! Good times!

LOL I always loved that line from South Park. The makers of South Park figured "explore the Tower of Azora" sounded cool since most viewers probably hadn't played WoW.... although, those of us who did know, the Tower of Azora wasn't even a dungeon. There was nothing to explore... no mobs, nothing, lol! Just some NPCs. Yeah, we better form a party before entering :)

i love Elwynn Music, i go there every day on my 110 Hunter to listen to the ambiance and the music and then go into Goldshire for obvious reasons.

this game was magical in MANY MANY WAYS. i can go back to any time i want when listening to these themes of wow. it truly WAS a magical game and it captured so many moments and feelings of greatness. just..get away ya know? that's it. and listening to it all the time is magical and instantly transports you back in time to the much easier times when you were younger :) the best thing about these? i put on my headphones and walk through the forests by my house while listening to this.

If you ask yourself what was magical about this game, it was several things combined, like music such as this, but when one of those things is removed it breaks that magic. When the game became easy, that broke it. Think back to the Defias quest line, how you learned what you had to do. You had to track some messenger guy down, steal his message, do a bunch of other tasks before you could even do the dungeon in a meaningful way. When you got there, you knew why you were, you knew the stakes, and finally completing it and exiting the dungeon, how did you feel? Amazing, right? That doesn't happen any more, does it? Bring the difficulty back, Blizzard. Legacy servers please. Everything is too streamlined now. The game was best when you needed to read quest text to know where you're going, look for certain objects or landmarks, not open your map and follow the dot then murder everything in sight. Legion looks pretty good, but Legacy servers are what the game really needs. Good news is Blizz realizes this is the case for a large majority of players, let's see what they do.

Love this comment and agree completely. I was just thinking the other day about how damn complex that quest line was. You had to go to multiple zones, it took time walking there, finding the guy, figuring out the messenger path. And killing Van Cleef wasn't easy at all, probably took at least 3 runs before we got him, and even then it took multiple hours. I remember jumping on the ship wheel to lose aggro when we wiped. And all that shit was at like level 18.

The main reason you might wipe in LFR is due to getting 25 random people in a room and telling all of them to pay attention to the fight. That's not going to happen all of the time, but the fact that several people not paying attention in LFR can lead to a wipe does indicate a step up from WoD.

this song reminds me of when i was fondly felching myself as I explored the fargodeep mine on my paladin with a blunt sword and a rusty buckler. sooner or later i would be sucking dick in back alleys of CVS just so I could use the money to buy pre paid time, this game turned me into a crack addict and I've abandoned a lot of my unborn children just so I could farm gold with some of the biggest wow players known on the Korialstrasz server. boy, the time i had on here were nostalgic, nothing will ever compare to the sensation of utopia i feel whenever the wow soundtrack soothes through my head and moistens my britches.. i wonder if Legion will get me to re new my account

When I used to play this game, my favorite part of the Elwynn Forest music was this (forgive me for not knowing music notes very well.. I don't know if these should be sharp or flat): A# D# F# F A# D# G# F# F D# C# D# F D# This part of the tune just always makes me cry when I think about World of Warcraft and how much I loved it.

Mein "Hass-Gegner" am Anfang im Wald von Elwynn was "Hogger. Denn hab ich auf Grund eines kleinen Levels am Anfang nicht geschafft. My "hate figur" at the beginning was "Hooger" in the forest of Elwynn. My Level are to small to kill him. It was a good, funny time. Memorys... Es war eine schöne Zeit in dem Spiel. Erinnerungen werden wach. ;-))
