As I get ready to call this offense Bunt play in this weekends 12U game Coach dan says "if the offense does bunt in this situation they are goin to hurt themselves".... ummm nevermind. (head lowers...shame and doubt creep in...)

So basically runner on 1st and 2nd The best plays are Bunt goes left 3rd base covers 3rd and the pitchers or catcher throws to 3rd and potentially throws to 2nd or 1st if you got a fat runner or Left bunt 3rd base goes and gets it and pitcher covers 3rd And throw to 3rd Then throw to 1st or 2nd if possible OR Bunts go right 1st basemen goes and get it and 2nd covers the 1st base bag and potentially throws to 3rd?

the likelihood of making a second throw is essentially zero. You'll get only one out unless the bunt is bunted hard, right back to the pitcher. And the pitcher will almost never be covering a base to take a throw in time.

Disagree with holding the runner on at first here. Don’t think he should come in too early but by being in position to field a bunt quickly, the throw to third is in play. A throw to second in this scenario is not likely

remember that the MOST likely scenario is still a throw to first, not third. And you won't know when they're going to bunt in most situations.

@@DanBlewett we’re on the same page just a slight disagreement. I’m not worried about holding a runner on at first with 2nd base occupied in any scenario. First basemen should be on the grass ready to charge on a ball bunted towards him. Only base runner that is being held particularly close is the runner on 2nd with the shortstop close by. In the event of a bunt slightly popped up or bunted too hard to first base side, first baseman should be in position to make the play at 3rd
