I lost my sister a few months ago and we would play this song. Since she passed, I play it often to let me know she is right here with me. In our younger years I took a picture of her in a field of wheat and she was so beautiful..thank you and Eva Cassidy hold that memory for me. You are and always have been my go to artist to make me feel the beat in my heart...thank you, thank you...but, I am still waiting on the dock for to play "sitting on the dock of the bay" for me and my brother I lost also. Snow is gone. I know you have the time because your daughter told me that you may be starting your tour in June/July at Mohegan Sun. Haven't cashed in my ticket. Who knows maybe I will get lucky at the casino??? Just like my hole in one! Be safe and don't fall off any more make shift docks and laugh thinking no one was listening. 😁 Happy Easter...

I believe Sting said that when he first heard Eva's version, he wept. In my (humble) opinion, no one has done the song better than Eva. Her arrangements in covering many songs were better than the originals.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to like this at all, since her version of that song was so pure and moving. It is one of my favorite songs and Eva's version is my favorite, so I wasn't sure that I could give a thumbs up on this one. That being said, whoever did this was an accomplished sound engineer for sure. They blended the separate parts of their versions of that song masterfully well. I loved it, for real! Thanks for sharing it Gerry. I loved your video too. It was very touching.
