The atmosphere is incredible. Their live concerts are a thing of beauty, really is, and this was playing the exact year I was born. So cool, after 29 years I'm discovering this while listening to my favorite band.

"Move back ...... step outside yourself . . . ' Outstanding song ..... great in every way. The rhythm, the beat, the chords and the bass !!!!! The Fields of the Nephilim at that time suffered terribly - and it did negatively impact on their overseas/non- Great Britain audience - as being "Sisters clones.' Bullsh^t'
@d3athr0ck3r4 жыл бұрын
I never understood the sisters clone thing. Carl’s voice is very distinctly not Andrew and the writing isn’t similar to the sisters either
@ShiroiTengu Жыл бұрын
I could never understand the Sisters comparisons either. Blue Water does have a slight Craig Adams-ish bass riff but only briefly before it becomes its own thing.
@tikhongilson3770 Жыл бұрын
Sisters didn't even have a real rhythm section!
@janparadowski489411 ай бұрын
Sisters have less of that rockabilly/western thing going on, they are less mystical and occult-themed and didn't veer that much into ethereal/psychedelic territory. Fields on the other hand use less keyboards and don't have elements of darkwave or industrial in their early sound. Floodland also experimented with some more hard rock oriented riffs. Both bands are and were legendary acts though.

when I saw them live, back in the late 80s, there was so much fog on the stage, the only things you could see throughout the whole show was the hat and the sunglasses of the singer. Of course I was so stoned, I didn't care - like everyone else :D

More information PLEASE! Aware that they played Shepherd's Bush in 2018 but know nothing else. My Tickets for 2020's BST Festival in Hyde Park have been postponed yet again, until 2022. I shall continue to wait though. American rock Gods Pearl Jam headlining BTW.

I was into the Fields back in the day albeit not huge - went to see them in Aylesbury - I have been to 100's of gigs over past 40+ plus years - none have come close to this gig - I remember just standing in awe soaking up the atmosphere - totally changed me - sounds dramatic but true.

yes, i totally agree.. i didn`t want to be superficial... the music, the lyrics and his voice are of course the most important things to me... i saw them the day before yesterday and i am a little desappointed: they only played for 70 minutes, the sound was very bad and the tickets price was 30 Euro :-( but the setlist was stunning... have you ever seen them live? Of course i will give them another chance, i know that they give their best live and they are one of my favourite bands :-)

I loved the video. When I was skint back in the day Id save up a quid and go to the pub - you could get 3 videos on their video jukebox for a quid and I'd watch it 3 times then go home - that was my 'night out'
