Every year I intend to get wrapping done early so the tree looks festive with presents underneath, but as usual I did the majority last night (12/23) and have just a couple more I’ll put out tonight. But we don’t do Santa either so its not a big deal. 🎄♥️🎁

Those lights were beautiful! Such a fun tradition! On Christmas Eve I bake sugar cookies and we all decorate them. We also get hot cocoa and drive to look at Christmas lights. We do not put presents under the tree until Christmas morning (we don’t do Santa here either).

That was such a cool light show! The lights at your home look so good! We don’t do Santa but we do three gifts (gold, frank, myrrh as my son used to say) on Christmas Day laid out and unwrapped then one from siblings to each child to unwrap that we put under the tree whenever I get them done. We just went out on the 21 to see the Christmas star, lights, and split two peppermint and choco chip milkshakes. Our neighborhood has a contest for Halloween and Christmas and it gets pretty crazy at some houses!

And the game day idea! :) We wrap 3 in one gifts to each other ( usually a bigger gift and two smaller ones all wrapped together and those go under the tree once wrapped, usually fairly close to Christmas once I get them lol. We do Santa and He leaves things out unwrapped and fills stockings. Everything is opened Christmas morning except our Christmas Eve Gifts which we open Christmas Eve evening and is always Christmas pajamas. We used to go to Christmas Eve service but they are not having it.

We do Santa but don't do naughty/nice list etc. santa only brings one gift per child as well...we do it but use it more in support of putting Jesus first if that makes sense, not really in the traditional way. We love board games here!! Ticket to Ride first journey is a big time favorite in our house right now. When your hubby brought in the box of amazon bags 🤣 Looks just like my husband this time of year too lol. Merry Christmas!

I heard another youtuber mom say that they stopped putting all their presents out on Christmas morning except for1 or 2 because they didn't want santa to get all the credit but they would presents out before Christmas and let the kids know who the presents came from so the kids would be more appreciative which makes sense and I also believe its not about all the gifts I let my kids know the true meaning of Christmas Jesus! Which I know it's fun to see their faces opening the gifts 🎁 I do have to remind my kids that daddy worked hard to make it happen and there are some children that don't have what you have and they understand they are older mostly grown except my 13 year old son which I'm not saying y'all don't do that i just know if it wasn't for God I wouldn't be here today! I hope y'all have a wonderful and blessed Merry Christmas and happy new years!!!

Oh yes I agree! We don’t do Santa bc we teach them about St Nicholas and that Christmas is about Jesus. Gifts are fun and it’s easy to get carried away for sure! But I teach my kids the same way bc without God none of this (or us) would be here, amen!!!

Christmas Eve was usually spent with my parents. My mom is no longer with us, but we continued the tradition for two years after her death. Then, it just became hard to get together on Christmas Eve since one of my sons is married and now this year our son is engaged and her family usually does something on Christmas Eve. So, we are getting together the day after Christmas instead. My son's fiance's family ended up not being able to get together with their family, so my husband, myself, daughter, and son are going over to their house to celebrate Christmas Eve and exchange gifts (they are a family of 7). On Christmas Eve, we've also always had a tradition of opening one gift. It was usually PJs and a movie. This year, it will be a board game, jogging pants, and a pack of Snoopy socks for my daughter. When my kids were younger we would put a few gifts under the tree, but most didn't come out until Christmas morning. Now that mine are older (youngest is 14), we put everything under the tree unless it can't be wrapped. I just love to see the presents under the tree. I wish your family a Merry Christmas.

@@crissycece983 When we celebrated Christmas Eve with my parents, we usually had finger foods because all of us were tired of ham and turkey..lol. This year we decided to grill steak and chicken and we are having baked potato, salad, and desserts. Tonight we are having a taco bar. We don't have anywhere to go Christmas Day as far as dinners, but I have to work 3-11p. For Christmas breakfast we are having breakfast burritos/bowls. Not sure what we are having for lunch.

Don’t do Santa, put things under the tree on Christmas Eve so kids aren’t tempted to peek 😉 even though I wrap them a month in advance, I don’t like games either but Howdy does, so they play with him (dads are great like that), we usually open one gift on Christmas Eve but since my husband is working this time (he’s a firefighter so schedules are constantly changing) so we’re just waiting until Christmas Day. Guess we will be doing crafts 🤷🏼‍♀️
