Excellent show tonight. Ben;s report was an eye opener. How many turbines are there in Scotland? Being generous, do we allow a head count of 300 per turbine? That's a lot of birds killed by the SNP's devotion to wind power. Also, I was amazed that there was only 1 bird nest, which luckily was abandoned, in such large acreage of standing timber. Incredible and so coincidentally fortuitous. Looking forward to David rocking up with a topknot next week. David's flowing kelp bed of a thatch was a joy for all us baldies to admire.

Hey Charlie. Someone told me my video was in hunting Yt. Funny to see, because I didn’t send it in. Becoming famous after all! 😂 great show as usual. Going to England next week. 4 days pigeons! Excited after seeing Andy doing his thing! Cheers!

Have I totally missed the point of the timber felling section? I should imagine most of us wat2the show understand that spruce plantations are absolute desert monocultures for wildlife, benefiting a fraction of the number of species that for example a growing mixed woodland, moorland, or meadow suports. Was the point of the piece to highlight that FLS are naughty too sometimes? I just came away feeling that actually a wood like that being dropped is a good thing for us in many ways, especially if a scot gov org did it and broke a rule or two in the process. And for the sake of argument and not walking right into a gaping pit trap here, remember that a lot of grouse moors have benefited immensely from wind farms in Scotland,... 😳 No pouncing please, im a full time keeper on a mixed sporting estate in Central Scotland, speaking from experience, not just spouting. Still a great show guys. All the best. Josh

Larch plantation near me, owned by Oxford university was felled a few years ago, they took down a Buzzard nest with young in. When confronted the contractor lied, like they all do. Dare say people who should of made sure things like this don't happen are paid enough to look the other way.

Is buckshot available in the UK? In the USA it is the most popular shotgun cartridge. Especially right now with all the civil unrest. Though for long guns meant for social work the semiauto .223 remains the most popular for civilian shooters and law enforcement alike.

Hello Charlie, I do like the idea of the compress rounds for pest control. How much difference is there in the prices with the two non leaded rounds, ie Compress metals and copper rounds?
@fieldsportstv4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this. IDK that, in the UK, expect to pay £30-£40 for 100 Barnes Varmint Grenade (compress) and £80-£100 for 100 Barnes TTSX (copper). / Charlie

Thanks for this. Yes we will. Simon Whitehead used them effectively on rabbits a couple of months ago for us. Matt Turkey uses steel on crows last week - though an unscientific test shows steel runs out of puff at 55yds compared to lead. And I showed the difference between the materials, including tungsten. What's missing is a terminal ballistics test. / Charlie

I suspect they're a bit limited in terms of what's going on at the moment; it's fairly easy for Andy to shoot some pigeons on his land, but quite another for a driven game day with multiple people etc
