I personally had the problem with ejected cases hitting the scope and falling back into the action turned around 180°. Though I had it with a Steyr Luxus in 7x64, and after switching the scope from a 1" one without a left hand extension, to a 30mm Leupold with a left hand battery housing. So it can happen.

Hi Charlie, long time no speak. Great story and reminded me of the two moose I've shot over the years. As Paul shows, it really' gnarly gound' and a bit like walking on two sodden mattresses and hard work. I've shot them with 6.5x55 SE and 338 Norma Magnum and they went down like a sack of spuds both times. An American friend of mine said; 'you can kill a moose with harsh language. We used dogs (Jempthunds) both times, which was an eye opener. Keep up the good work mate. Pete

Absolutely terrible to see guns shooting tame ducks that are landing around them.Not sport and doing our collective cause a great disservice.

The ducks were very much not ‘tame’ but reared as with many duck shoots. They were very sporting, among some of the better driven duck I’ve shot, and the ones ‘landing’ around us were more likely the result them being shot.

Ollie. I suggest that you look at the footage again. These ducks were not shot , but landing beside the guns on their home pond. They were not taking evasive action . It makes our sport look very poor in the wrong eyes.
