Very enjoyable show this evening and well done to Roy and David for closing the deal on that fallow buck. That electric horse fencing is brutal stuff and takes some cutting. Even if the buck had stood still for them, David and Roy would not be able to cut that stuff off and let the young man run off. Poor little bugger. On a political note, how I wish shooting had a Martin Salter. A respected former MP (L) , that is working tirelessly for the sport he loves. Sadly, the shooting MPs I know and know of that shoot tend to keep their heads down, accept invitations and skulk off afterwards.

Well done Roy and David with that unfortunate fallow buck, prevented a lot of pain and suffering. Another great show keep up all the good work you do for the sporting shooters and hunters just not in the UK but worldwide.

What an excellent (But unfortunate for the deer) way to demonstrate the good we all do, and really shines a great light on the effort that we put in, great job Roy.

Big fan of the channel, love to watch the news from David. The wolves that live in the Netherlands are not the only ones, over there they might have the space to live but over here in North-east Belgium there is no space and we have already 10 wolves. Some wear a gps tracker and that tracker showed how they "walked" from Poland to Belgium in one straight line and in the same time a truck would it. There is no space for them, they eat livestock from the people. There is a small group of people that know everything about these wolves, even how they got here, and from what I have heard they are even being fed. Somethimes it is nice to live in a small country, my mom told me a few days ago how she was at a farm for her job and the farmer told her about him and his friends. They had the exact same car as the guy, not naming names, that takes care of these wolves and he promotes guided tours with a garanty that you'll see one. They drove into the forest where they are at the moment and they wolves ran straight to his car. I don't trust anyone anymore, I only trust this channel when it comes to gamekeeping. The moeflons are just stupid :p

I'm a chairman of a sewer authority in Pennsylvania and what is allowed is shocking. We replaced the 1986 experimental system with a BNR system about 9 years ago and now the EPA and PA DEP use us as an example. We are discharging significantly less than the treatment system is designed for. The one problem we have is the gas drilling around this area and peoples water wells being affected, and some of them are on our sewer system, so we have to monitor that issue. Then the dumping of the waste water trucks from the well pads into our sewer system's man holes. We had the PA DEP onsite with real time testing equipment and someone dumped a few trucks into a man hole. The PA DEP was able to watch and record the plant die, with one half shut down to save it and the other with all the bacteria killed off. I ended up calling the different water truck companies and informing them that if we find who dumped it or catch anyone dumping into the sewer system we would use the Bioterrorism Act instead of any state law. That or I would hang the driver from the mirrors, they did not like either option. We even have them dumping the water on dirt roads with no testing or paperwork submitted or just dumping directly into the creeks. I can remember watching this one stream with testing equipment on it have a shift to around 4 PH from 7 or so, sure that happens in the fall, but at the time the leaves fall, that happened 2 weeks later and just up stream from the equipment a well was drilled. There are many more issues with streams than just sewer plants, having tree barriers around the streams from fields and livestock is one that is being used for the Chesapeake Bay clean up. Still when one town near us hooked into our sewer system the stream lost almost all the algae that coated the stream. Even to the point after fishing it since I was a kid in the 1970's, 3 years ago I caught my first native trout there. Before they were all stocked. Then the planning for a sewer plant, if you are looking for a town of 10,000 just figure 90 gallons per person. Here in the US it is 90 gallons times the average house hold size and 65 for a business, so you would figure at least 90,000 gallons per day. From a few places I have looked at half that number is more realistic, but in cities the number is about correct. Now we have a lake with cabins around it that treats the lake for algae (from the septic systems around it) that wants to hook into the sewer system. out of the 180 units only 30 are full year time use. Do you design to the average or to the 180? The 180, why? When sewer systems go into lake communities the cottages end up becoming full time homes or replaced with new structures. Look at Cooperstown NY the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. They added ten parts water to one part effluent and it is good and that was about a decade ago and that is the head waters of the Susquehanna River.

Thanks for this. It's amazing it has taken the media (including us) so long to wake up to this issue. / Charlie

@@fieldsportstv one thing I learned, if you can smell a sewer plant, it is not working correctly. Then if you can see anything in the discharge, it really is not working correctly. Little to say I have been to plants that did settling tests on the discharge, Uck. Also we were recognized as the waste water treatment system of the year in 2015. here is the EPA article and then the Keystone tap. There were problems and most of them got solved.

It's strange how injured deer seem to seek out the stalker. I've had it happen to me quite a few times over the past decades. has anyone else had the same type of experience?

An interesting point on the water pollution on the Windrush. Does this mean that in the event of a serious injury/illness directly attributed to the water (from swimming, paddling etc.) then the water company can be prosecuted and charged with negligence, now that this has been highlighted and ignored?

Why didn't he bark at that deer to make it stop? That was a close shot, could have easily stopped him in his tracks and had a standing broadside shot.
