More worryingly look at how they already use it to monitor humans and restrict their movement. We really must not take our eye off the ball with this.

@fieldsportsbritian only moderate comments to within KZbin guidelines not your own agenda or you will find yourselves losing paying members. I posted a link to a KZbin video of Rowan Atkinson talking about free speech. Something we as a shooting community need to support for the sake of our sport

Had the Hik trail cameras, not impressed. Got a set of 3.5k binoculars, they are not a patch on Pulsar kit. They have a way to go before I think of buying any more of their kit.

Really impressed. But 3 hours on a 18650 is no dam good. Especially when they state 6. Sort out batteries and there best on the market without a doubt. Apart from battery life pulsar are dead in the water.

I have bought pulsar for years but compared to hik they seem dated,even the long awaited telos,correct on apart from battery life,hik need to get that sorted
@keithwright3260
@keithwright3260 2 ай бұрын
@@180del Yes pall spot on. I put telos up against condor. Not even in the same league. Bought a condor and sadly returned it not fit for purpose. Two hours with range finder then one hour without not an option. No way can you get better out of an 18650. Still using original Helion xq35. Can’t find anything pulsar that’s worth the money to better it on a good night. On a bad night I don’t bother.

Keith, use the standby button when you’re not actually looking through the unit, I can easily get 4 hrs out of my FQ35 no problem 👍
@keithwright3260
@keithwright3260 2 ай бұрын
You’re missing the point like most that have put up with the short cummings of all their units you are accepting something that is not fit for purpose. It may last for ever if you don’t switch it on.!!! You may get 4 hours out of it but you will only get 2.5-3 with the range finder working. Way off 6 hours as stated. If everyone had done as I did and returned their units for refund instead of accepting defective products we would have had the battery issues solved by now. I use an Alpex and will support Hik when they sort out their issues.

I shot and judged at clays at different levels for over 30 years and I was always told there must be a ‘clear and visible break’ of the clay, so I would have given it as a loss too🤔.

Your only shooting off for an Olympic gold medal and they can't take a few seconds to check on a replay if a very important target was hit or not, four years of work decided by someone who should have gone to Specsavers, absolutely disgusting !!! Cheers from across the pond ☘
@guy1234484

I’m guessing a potential problem is that the rule for a break is “one VISIBLE piece breaks…”. It’s not “one piece breaks…”. What is visible on a review is very different to what is visible without high-speed photography. To stop constant interruptions they’d have to change the rules and limit the number of challenges I imagine.
@davidmcgrath9581
@davidmcgrath9581 2 ай бұрын
@@guy1234484 Yes but here's the thing, a chip off a clay is a hit and in an ordinary match if the ref did not see it and calls it lost it's his decision alone and that's it, remember this is the Olympic games that come around every four years where the whole world is watching and in high speed important events that are televised you need high speed cameras to make a final decision , like for example the 100m sprint where a fraction of a second can make the difference between first and second how would the human eye judge that one and many other events at the games, imagine no high speed cam's at a Wimbledon final and it's a match point decision ! was the ball in or out ?
@guy1234484

@@davidmcgrath9581well, as I sort of alluded to at the end, a model like they use at Wimbledon or in cricket is the way to go. It’s disproportionate (and almost certainly counterproductive) to review every single shot. Allow competitors a limited number of challenges, so that only the most crucial and borderline circumstances are challenged, tweaking the rules to remove the qualification “visible”. That’s what I would do.
