+ More two card combos + More in archetype cards that are powerful but have restrictions. + More different versions of cards in any given set. + More horizontal power levels among different decks instead of vertical tiers with 1-2 decks peaking. That´s what I´d wish for the future of this game. Yugioh still has so many good stuff around its card game. But the company behind it is almost criminal the way it manages it.

The worst part is they've already confirmed some of the high rarities of the cards featured in the set. Fiendsmith Engraver, the Level 6, is a Secret Rare thus will be super expensive at launch. As will Mulcharmy Purulia, the new 'Maxx C'-esq card. Do Konami just want the game to die internationally, because they are making it almost impossible for the average consumer to play anything that isn't 'Common Charity' format. We are already hearing stories of people abandoning the game because of the monetary extremes of playing it vs the lacklustrer prizing. The Fiendsmith stuff is only going to exacerbate that.

The last 2 sets made all of the best cards accessible and low rarity printings, poplar and princess ultras, Tenpai cards supers and commons, yubel cards highest rarity is ultra the rest supers and commons. Plus RC01 and RC02 giving you all the staples you could ever need accessible. Even voiceless only had one secret and the rest were ultras and supers and commons. Now they finally put a very strong card back into the secret rare spot and now you complain that the engine is high rarity. I swear yugioh players are never happy with anything.

To be completly honest: This is the first time after 12 years of playing competitive to semi competitive to think about quitting and i mean there were really stupid seasons like Tearlament, Zoodiac, Sky Striker, Spyral etc but i never felt that this game is SO stale and only depending on who can fit more non engine into the deck with such a paywall. Atm i cant afford really meta Decks and every tournament fells like getting absolutly rekt the first 2-3 rounds to get to play "normal" yugioh. To think about a yugioh Deck goes casually over 1-1,5k is absurd and despite what this fiendsmith engine can do whether its searchable floodgates with beatrice + gryphon, omni negates, board breaker, locks and so on: The Fiendsmith is confirmed in Secret Rare yaaay Konami. That will easily be at 80-100€ per copy if you compare it to S:P's splashability. The only reason why that Maybe wont is the fact thgat most player can't afford the whole engine so and therefore wont buy it. My local store already banned this engine right beforehand at one day a week to get the students in

If it wasn't as generic as it is then there wouldn't be that many complaints. People would still complain, but it would be more about how powerful the deck is vs how splash able the engine is.

@@chewdoom8415 I’m saying it would still do a good job without it in the hypothetical instance it gets banned. However, considering there are quite a few more metas that are considered a higher tier, I’m of the opinion that Albion makes Branded that much more effective against the current meta.

I still play brave synchro. Still a strong play and u can alsmot get an omni on demand. Sometimes the interruption comes in handy as well.

IMO fiendsmith is the quintessence of what is wrong with recent YGO archtypes, fully generic 1 card engine that give to much adventage without any counter parts/restrictions. As you said adventurer is restrictive but give you tools to build an break board and Horus need 2 discards for 1 Xyz/Link. Thoses are so much fairer for the game that heavy going first oriented engine. Konami really need to bring back archtype with strong restriction/gimmick. Very nice video!

The ONLY conceivable draw back to this is for decks who's extra deck space cannot reasonably spare anywhere from 3-5 slots, but when the payout is a non-opt ss effect negate in this format, is it really a thinker?

@ThePaulodash Yugioh has way more competition to deal with on top of very strict gambling laws in Japan which forces them to add more rarities. The US however is very corrupt so it doesn't really care unless it starts hitting congressman pockets then they'll crack down on it.

I think it´s still worth speaking out loud saying that this shit is not ok. Is it new to up the rarity and short print chase cards to cause high prices? No absolutely not. But in the almost 20 years i have been part of this game and with 10+ years of playing competitive, I feel like this time it does feel different. People aren´t just mad. They are sick and tired of it. They are looking at other TCGs to play. Yugioh is still a great game, but official play is barely worth it. Not for price support but for the inavailability of cards for lots of people. And the fact that your money is always at risk because these hardcore expensive tier 1 decks are so dangerous to be banned.

Yeah, yugioh isoving towards sharing is caring. Meaning all cards will be able to ve summoned with any card on the field, next we gonna have monsters that can be summon to the field and spell, similar to Penjolum, but with out restrictions that can also attack. You'll be able to use your opponts monsters in any way you like and you'll be able to even attack from Trap/spell zones. Using opponents monsters will be the next step and seem very likely. This change will kill handtraps since there's no need for them when u can use already provided monsters. Light small boards going 1st will be the next thing

I love yugioh but when they make it hard to buy cards from, are they really caring about their consumers or just their pockets? Like Gucci brand isn’t gonna lower prices cause they already have a base of people who will buy regardless. I went to play Pokémon and their high tech cards come in common and you can start playing with a top meta deck under $150. If I wanna play meta in yugioh, I gotta pay close to $1000. I’m still gonna play yugioh but I’m gonna wait in a meta where it isn’t hand trap wars

Can you address in a video the fact that all decks can gimmick puppet lock by just having any monster with level on the field and a Fiendsmith Engraver in your hand? It proves that sanctifire isn't the real problem. Shout out to yacine656 for making a video about the combo

Just saying that it can still be abused. That video proves that Beatrice is just going to keep in enabling more ftks as she becomes more accessible.
