I HATED this episodes theme. The fact they used ChatGPT to create a mini challenge for them instead of the writers, used an AI image generator instead of an actual artist, and then had an entire runway dedicated to AI just reads as SO tone deaf.

The Feast of Dionysus/ Feast of the Gods is also using Christian imagery and was painted after the Last Supper (1635) and was inspired directly by the Last Supper (1498), so it's the inverse. But anyhow it's kinda silly to be upset about. I think the artistic director was being a bit coy and shit stirring but its fine.

Fierce came to do what she was cast for and that was to bring DRAMA. Thank you Fierce for your contributions to the World of Drag Race. What got Eureka the safe placement was the fact that she had absolutely no storyline within the episode. Her storyline: I've always done well in the ball challenge. While Lemon has had the clear storyline of her redemption since she walked on the runway in episode one.

And she is responding faster and more readily to critique now (such as during the untucked portion her quickly changing her demeanor about not winning). I think it's completely likely she can do it, but I just hope she does. She's also interestingly taking feedback from eureka, who despite being one of the most aggravating queens on the show, is giving fierce good feedback, and eureka is one to listen to about being aggravating but still successful. Tho eureka might only still be successful for one reason that fierce does not have privy to .

over the last six or so months there has been a huge increase in usage of generative image software, generative audio software, and other AI generative tools. These tools pose massive risks to those in Creative Industries and in the Public Image because of the way that they have been used. Most dangerous to those that are public personalities are the AI generative video and audio tools, because people have been making generated pornographic content and defamatory content using these tools without consent that is almost indistinguishable from real footage and audio. As far as the risks to creative industries, there have been a ton of companies that are reducing the amount of artists and creatives that they keep on staff, with some even replacing all of their creative staff entirely, with image and text generation softwares. A lot of these image generation softwares are also trained on stolen artwork, from artists who did not consent to their images/art pieces being used in AI training. To cap it all off, this type of generative software uses immense amounts of power due to the equipment required to perform these calculations and to produce the results, so while it isn't the biggest part of the issue, they also contribute to an increased rate of climate damage due to their sheer energy cost. Showcasing AI generative anything in a positive light on the drag race main stage is promoting an industry of tech that is designed to make creatives obsolete. It's essentially a slap in the face for the driving forces behind creativity and self-expression, while also being incredibly insensitive to the people who have had their likeness, image, voice and all, manipulated to say things they would never say and do things they would never do by users of these generative tools. All of these things affect drag queens, given that it is a very public-facing creative industry.

It might be worth someone pointing out to Valentina that this whole issue with the two female boxers who have been targeted for allegedly being Trans relates directly to the IBA who are a Russian boxing association. They supposedly administered the tests that identified them as such but only after in Imane's case she'd beaten a previously unbeaten russian boxer. They've refused to specify what tests were used just that they weren't testosterone level tests or give results and have since been removed from involvement in boxing at the Olympics due to concerns about lots of things including financial mismanagement, ethics and refereeing. But if she's happy being a front person for Russia (who are also saying similar things about the Paris Olympics probably because they're barred from attending due to the invasion of Ukraine) then that's between her and her ability to sleep at night

I don’t agree that Lemon’s costume doesn’t give drag or could be anyone. So much drag is amorphous and not only contorts gender but deconstructs the human form too. That involved anthromorphizing animals, plants, objects, etc. Not every look needs to be a beat mug.

Thanks for reminding people to vote because this is one time we really can't be complacent. We also can't split the progressive vote into multiple parties or Trump will win. Everyone must vote for Kamala this time in order to defeat Trump. After that if people want to develop other progressive parties they can but if they don't vote for camela this time there won't be any opportunities to have parties again. It's that serious.

I went and watched the same video of the Gomez girl and she did not use the F word. Whoever bleeped her words out is creating fake news. You should not have shared that without listening to the original version. However, she did make a stereotype about gay people that I disagree with.
