I Love Kim Shattuk.. I used to say she was my spirit animal 😢 I was actually really upset when I heard of her passing and was glad to see so many people praising her as a positive light and influential musician. This woman has a signature scream and an endearing sense of honesty and angst in her words that I can't really see them being forgotten.. especially not by me. RIP Kim.. and thank you to Joey for turning me on to them ❤

I saw the Muffs at the Met Cafe. Providence, Rhode Island back in the 90's. They later returned to play at Club Baby Head. But I was upstairs at the time that they were playing and my friend was downstairs watching them. And I happened to notice it got really quiet for a while down there. My friend later told me. That the bass player from what I learned was her husband at the time. And hip bumped her off stage. And she played three songs acoustically by herself. Then they resumed with the few songs left to their set.
