From memory, and that was a bvery long time ago, the radio has 2 fuses I do remember weird problems with the time display and it was the second fuse. I Love the Fiero had a 1984 and swapped it for a 1986 MR2.

You inspired me to pick up the other rear engined economy car that gm made, a 1963 corvair! I technically picked up two of them, one being a turbo car. I got a '57 ford last year as a first project. And it was fun, but i am far from finished. The turbo car is very rotten, with a very good motor, but the 500 model has a good body... and a bad motor.

I jumped off the couch screaming “Yes, finally!” When I saw the 78 Datsun. The restoration of the Fiero was close to my heart watching the series all throughout highschool and hoping to get one of my own. It almost feels nostalgic getting excited for the 280z. I’m so excited to see what you will do and how the videos will turn out. make all of us proud to watch such amazing video quality as well as giving life back to that 280z.

I'm not a fiero fan or a motorcycle fan, but at the same time I'm not anti either of them. What I'm saying is for the exact reasons you were hoping that would come through in your content is why I will forever watch anything you put out. For me personally I'm anything mechanical, the level of detail you show, and the flow of your videos are what have always drawn me in. I am a gear head, so naturally I enjoy that aspect of it as well, so just know your hopes of what you are trying to convey from your channel is absolutely coming through. Also I like the shirt, I want one!

I miss my Fiero. No matter how many times that car died on me, no matter how many times it gave me headaches, I loved that car. Maybe it was the cool summer nights I spent working on it, maybe it was the how it always became a conversation piece, or maybe it was the memories I had around it. The memories of high school, where I didn't have a care in the world. Having to have the car jumped after school almost every day, with my friends around spraying the starting fluid for me. Taking the top glass off, feeling all 92 horsepower at the pedal driving to my minimum wage job. The brisk winter mornings mixed with the smell of exhaust fumes in the air. Having her in the car with me, her smile now lost in time. The Fiero signified a point in my life where I was simply content in existing, but like the Fiero, that feeling is now just a memory. A part of me is glad I sold it when I did, so that the memories of that car remained with those memories of a more peaceful time. But a part of me can never get over that car.

"It's a lot more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow." Absolutely true. I love wringing out the gears in my 10 year old Civic. I'll be at the top of 2nd and only barely at highway speed on the on-ramps. Besides, I think it's way cooler that you've got the original engine. Everything gets an LS swap these days, but how much cooler it is that there's someone who _willingly keeps_ a Fiero with the Iron Duke, despite having the skills to do the swap.

@Begmar01
@Begmar01 Жыл бұрын
The motorcycle series was great, it'a a lot more accessible for most people to restore a bike rather than a car (especially old bikes) and as you pointed out even if you're not that much into motorcycles originally it's all about the work, learning how an engine goes together and can be refurbished, doing a carbs rebuild etc are transferrable skills and a bike doesn't take a whole lot of space in a garage plus you can take everything apart by hand not needing a lot of contraptions to lift a frame or an engine etc. Reallly excited about what's coming down the pipe Datsun Fairlady Z are amazing little machines ! Please keep mixing it up with bike restorations and even other shit as long as the prodution stays the same quality as it has been until now it will be enjoyed by many even if it makes a bit less views Love ot see the house renovation too please do make videos about that as well ! For the Datsuns, you might already be aware of this but a couple of guys opened a shop dedicated to restoration of 240-260 and 280z in Georgia called Resurrected Classics, Tom Scott filmed an episode of Barn Find Hunters there and as it's a fairly new business and they are just out of college they probably would be up for a collaboration or something, at the very least they manufacture parts Good luck with everything, keep up the good work

This all sounds a lot like my restoration journey of my 1986 Fiat X1/9, especially the way people react at shows. Many people walk by, but if they stop, they tell me about when they owned one in their youth or had a parent own one when they were young. Some people get down right emotional. Also, I kept the original hardware too. I polished every nut and bolt on a wire wheel, but nothing held up a year later. I should have used stainless. Thanks very much for the video series!!

Definitely looking forward to the new projects! Congrats on the new home! I'll be honest, I'm probably one of the few who actually WOULD watch home project videos. As a fairly new homeowner myself, watching videos about that would definitely inspire me to tackle some more of my own home projects. My wife and I have a lot of ideas, but time, money, and lack of planning how we would actually approach them are the biggest constraints. I definitely came to your channel for the car content after seeing the first episode on the Fiero; I'm not a huge bike guy (although I have a huge soft spot for old Japanese bikes) but the motorcycle content has been nothing short of enjoyable. Keep up the great work!

You did with that Fiero exactly like I did with a little cabin cruiser (boat). I kept walking by it at the marina where I kept my sailboat. I like the lines, but the boat was pretty totaled with a tree growing out of its deck. I finally tracked down its owner, bought it for a song, and spent months rebuilding it from top to bottom including its wrecked trailer. It turned out perfect and I enjoyed it for a number of years. So I understand exactly how you felt when you did the same to your car.

Great to see it is still rolling around! From my experience, I think you've made the right call about not engine swapping the Fiero or making big changes. It is running and driving well, so just enjoy it! Something I've heard about R12 conversions is that R134a, being a much smaller molecule, will often seep through old hoses designed for R12. That was my experience with the 1991 Firebird when I messed with the AC system. Will a new replacement hose for a vehicle that came with R12 from the factory leak R134a or are modern materials good enough to not have that problem? No idea. Can't wait to see what you have coming out in the future, your work and presentation is always top-notch! PS - I've found that putting a RockAuto magnet under the collar of a t-shirt when clipping on a Rode Wireless Go makes it more stable and comfortable

I can't believe people went out of their way to comment on how they don't like the bike videos. I for one am not a bike guy at all. But the way you put it was spot on. It's about the problem solving, the story telling, the progress, etc. I loved the bike videos and can't wait to see the first Datsun episode! Keep up the awesome work man and congrats on the new house!

Man takes me back. Your series got me through my knee surgery when I was not able to get around. Hands down the best most satisfying project and I never got my hands dirty. Thanks for the follow up looking forward to your next projects

Make whatever videos you want my friend. I enjoyed the whole Journey of this car. I've been away for awhile and didn't realize you had bike restoration going. I'll definitely check them out too. I have an old 1986 Yamaha Seeka that I would like to pick at. Your a great creator. An inspirational builder. I'll watch it all man.

Dude. The Fiero is just beatyful. You did great job refurbishing it from rotting garbage to the present glory. You did a great project and filmed it for us to enjoy and that is something that few can do.

I love everything you had been doing with your channel. Even though I discoverd your channel with the Fierro's series, I become a little bit of a fan of your contents. Im addicted to your restoration video, besides Im a guy who loves DIY proyects, so the subscription to the second possible house renovation channel was a no brainer. Keep doing what you love man!

Loved the Fiero series, not a motorcycle fan or rider, but I sure as hell still watched the rebuild. Hell I watch rebuilds of farm equipment, squarebody chevy tanks and other machinery rebuilds.

Yeah, I watched the Fiero series as they came out, and it was a helluva ride to go through with you. And I've been enjoying the GPZ series as well, not because I'm particularly attracted to one over the other, but because you're the one doing them. Super stoked for the upcoming 280z and Tiburon content, and would love to see what you do with the house and the garage. And congratulations on your own place! Keep it up man!

oh man I was literally thinking to myself that its hard to find a good datsun rebuild series on youtube so I'm incredibly excited for watching one done by you! Been watching since the early days of the fiero and your videos do not disappoint!

I want everything on this one channel. Not a bike guy, but I did love the bike series - for anyone else wondering you should give it a watch. Looking forward to everything else mentioned, including the bikes. That 2 stroke sounds super interesting.

I don't particularly like cars or motorcycles, and yet I have not missed a video because I enjoy your video style. Really would've liked to see some home/workshop improvement videos! How about a bicycle restoration?

I like all your videos man! You're a great storyteller. I know how much problem solving goes into your projects because I rehab cars & bikes as well. I've renovated a couple houses too. Congrats on the new place. I'd love to see your house and garage remodel projects.

This channel is a fantastic example of quality over quantity! Anything you’ve put out has been an absolute blast to watch. As a big fan I’d love to see you post more but I’m willing to wait for that quality. At this point it doesn’t matter what kind of content you’re making because I know it will be top tier and I’ll be watching. I appreciate all your hard work and can’t wait for the new series!

Driving a slow car fast, exactly! I owned a Fiat Ritmo 105 TC, back in the day. There was also a 130 Abarth available, much "cooler" faster, but really nose heavy with the larger motor up front. The 105 was really nicely balanced and fun to drive. And I preferred by 1600 NA Mazda MX-5 to the 1800 ones, and the later 2.0s (I had an NC). Now I have a 1500 ND MX-5, and love it for exactly the same reason. Cool project1

You did a great job at bring this car back from the dead. Now I think it's time to take it up to one big notch by putting in a supercharged 3.8 V-6 from the Pontiac Grand Prix GTX. They were also in the Pontiac Bonneville.

Great to see a general update on the channel and nice to see an old friend back and hear how it's been getting on. Even better though, to hear that you two got your own place. Well done guys, really pleased for you! I reckon a garage build would fit in perfectly on this channel tbh - it's literally the fingerprints workshop, after all!!! 😁 The new builds look excellent, really interesting and intriguing... As does whatever you've been getting up to with the house!

It made me sad to hear people went out of their way to tell you they didn't care about your motorcycle videos, so despite not having a great deal of interest in motorcycles myself, I will absolutely go watch them now :)

I love how one can take all of the body panels off this car, put them back on and it looks perfect! The lines/gaps are so good and uniform. Very nice time capsule that I personally would leave exactly as is. You made the perfect statement.....it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow! Very impressive!
