There was an 1824 Constitution Mexico created using the United States Constitution as a model. In the early 1830;s President Santa Anna wadded that constitution up and threw it away which meant the freedoms of the people of Mexico which included Texas. Texas fought and many died for freedoms of that constitution. Present day we see the Left and to a far, far lesser extent, the right, has and continues to trash The US Constitution just as did Santa Anna. At The Alamo, there was a Mexican flag that flew that had in place of the eagle and snake, the year 1824 to remind Santa Anna of why Texas was fighting for its independence. Texas joined the Union in 1845 under The US Constitution. Basically, The Union has torn up that contract. Texans and most other states are pretty well pissed. "When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny." It is time to flip the situation and have the government fear the people again.

It can be done but it won't be done. They could cut $3 trillion out of the budget so they can pay off the loans. They won't do that. That would cause the economy to collapse too. The could sell government assets. The Federal government is the largest land owner in the country. They won't do that either. They can hyperinflate the currency and that is a possibility but will also ruin the economy. They can keep borrowing money for as long as anybody will buy our debt and then default and ruin the economy. The only path out is to sell off assets and I haven't heard anybody talk about doing that since the 1980s.
