Fiery Galaxy Vibe - Ring & Cell Duo - Acrylic Pouring Fluid Art

Hey Everyone! Thank you for being here today.
Today I am doing a ring pour with a swipe! I want to create balance between lines and cells.

Color Palette:
Paints were mixed with Owatrol (UK version of the US Floetrol) 1 part paint, 2 parts pouring medium. Mixed together with a dash of water and Liquidex Gloss Varnish Liquid (for the shine) to make it slightly more fluid. For the white swipe I used 1 part paint, 1 part Australian Floetrol. The piece is varnished with Winsor & Newton Gloss Varnish Spray.
- Amsterdam: Titanium white, Black, red, yellow, orange.
- Pebeo: iridescent gold and copper
Hair/Blow Dryer: I currently use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting unless I specify otherwise.

That ring pour was STUPENDOUS!! I think I would have stretched the ring pour before I did the swipe which would help me maintain the ring pour a bit better. I also think that a different color palette for the swipe would have looked better. I do love how you are always coming up with new things that I have never seen done by other artists.

Wow, this one is absolutely gorgeous!!! What a great idea! The cells on the bottom are on fire. The zebra stripes are perfect contrast to the coloured areas and they give ectra depth to your lovely piece of art. 💕💕💕 When you stretched the ring pour, I had to think of Kaa's eyes when he was hypnotising Mowgli 😆

Dear mark I have been following you for quite some time and love to listen to your calming voice and your informative dialogue And of course see your creations Some I like more than others and I have seen how you have progressed over time My question to you is : do you ever make mistakes ??? As there is so much that can go wrong ( paint too thick / thin too much tilting etc etc. ) I’m curious to know as I would say half of my “works “ I’m dissatisfied with for one reason or other But hey ! Hey Nicola! Thanks for reaching out and thank you so much for your encouragement and support- really means a lot. Firstly, keep trying and never give up. Honestly, it’s taken me ages to learn some of the stuff I feel more comfortable with but life always throws a curve ball and absolutely 💯 I make mistakes. All artists will do (even if they don’t admit it!!). Don’t forget also the videos you probably watch are our “best” creations - and I can only speak for myself but sometimes I try many before I’m happy with one I want to show. In terms of paint consistency I eye ball my ratios a lot of the time now (due to practice and getting used to my style). But I do also do drip tests especially if I’m using a combination of brands for a Dutch pour for example so I know they will flow at the same rate. I hope that helps and I hope you enjoy creating. Remember a work you’re dissatisfied with is also a piece you’ve also learnt a lot from. I find many of my lessons I’ve learnt are from failure or pieces that didn’t go quite right 👍🏻😊💜

Just feeling a bit despondent today I can draw and paint quite well but it’s the pouring alchemy that’s got me hooked The good thing is we can paint over the failures or go back months later and think it’s not too bad Art is a dedication / hobby for me something I NEED to do And the canvasses are piling up 🤣🤣 Thanks for taking the time out to reply Happy creations to you 💕💕

Thank you so much. The paint takes at least 2 weeks to dry and cure. If the puddles are quite deep id give it an extra week.
