Thanks for this steb by step. Something wrong with my drivers side speaker. It's rattling/farting like something is touching the cone. Last time it happened in my corsa and all it was were a couple loose screws but I had bought replacement speakers in advance of taking door card off. The old Alpine were actually better than the JBLs I replaced them with. This time I will use this guide to have a look first. Hopefully I won't break anything.

For the 09 model, you just gotta be rough to get the panel off. Don’t worry it doesn’t break, use a big flat head. I did and got speakers replaced in 40 mins.

My dad has figured out how to install a second radio with out removing the existing factory unit or expensive replacement factory kit costing you your back pocket. Only one single wire needs splicing into. He is curious has to why there are so many dummy wires in the Ford Fiesta factory installed wiring.

First thanks for the great videos. I have purchased a set of component speakers that did not come with crossovers but realised I probably should get some. I can see from the video how its all connected to the crossover. My question is when you remove the existing tweeter, which then has a plug at the end that clicks into a socket in the car door, is this then left unplugged and not needed?

Your title says Fiesta 2009+ but i saw you're using the "OptiFord" kit that Halfords stock rather than Vibes "OptiFiesta" kit that's aimed at 2008 onward Fiestas. Is there a difference? Because Vibe list those two kits as seperate for covering upto 2008 (mk6) and after 2008 (mk7 and mk7.5)

Great video. Did the speaker mounts you got in the kit actually fit? It looks like you used the ones that were already fitted (from the other set of Vibe speakers). I received different shaped ones, not round, with my kit that just don't fit unless I drill new holes and grind the ends off. Mine is a mk7.5 Friesta like the video.

@@Error-403 yeah I had to just drill some holes and bolt the mount to the plastic part of the door. Haven't had any problems with rattling sounds or anything

I have just looked up my new component speakers and they have a crossover built in. I came across an article saying you should not add a crossover to the system unless you disable the crossover on the tweeters. Is this true? I have noticed that the adaptor you need for the ford to connect to the four pin white plug only has two pins. When connecting this directly to the sub does this mean the tweeters are not connected? If I was NOT going to install a crossover then I would need to connect it straight to the sub but then was worried the tweeters would not work. Is this the case? I guess my only option if this was the case would be to use the existing factory housing that has a four pin input and cut the old speaker then install the new speaker inside it.

No that’s just a capacitor, to block the bass from the old tweeter

What do I use to get the 10mm bolt out ? You complete skipped that and I'm a complete novice

You will need a 10mm socket with extension bar and ratchet.
