This is an excellent video, thank you! I had a rattling sound and now it's sorted, I removed everything, cleaned, and put everything back. It could have just been one of the clips making the noise but the video is so good that I thought might as well remove everything. One tip - it might be easier to remove the bolt of seatbelt as the seatbelt gets in the way all the time and is annoying. You will find the bolt by lifting the whole back seat. By removing the bolt you can rest the seatbelt in the boot because you will be moving the back seat down and up quite a lot, so it would be better to have the seatbelt out the way! Hope this helps! Again, many thanks for the great video!

Mine seems to be doing this, does yours do it when ever driving over uneven surfaces? It’s so annoying i feel like I’m constantly looking over my shoulder looking for the noise I’ve had everything out the boot the only thing I can think of that it’s behind there? 😢

@@c_red_edition9587I have a scorpion non resonated exhaust so the rumble of the exhaust meant it was a constant rattle from the speakers.

Thanks very much for this life saving tutorial! Ford Fiesta 2006 or MK5, I removed both bottom and back seat, I made the mistake to buy 6.5" round coaxial speakers while the oval 5x7" are the most appropriate ones so you don't need any adaptor also you don't risk to have speaker touching the panel!

thanks for the vid. i replaced the rear speakers in my 2016 fiesta ST after they started to rattle. i ended up not needing to remove the big panel because i was able to remove the old and fit the new speaker by sticking my arm in there with a ratchet and a torx bit. i just bent the panel out of the way to access the screws. i did loosen the rest of the trim to give myself a tiny bit of extra room, but i may have been able to get away with just pulling the trim from the door. i will try on the other side and report back

I just did this on my ST 2014 to fix a rattling speaker, your video was really, really helpful! However, the panel shape on the facelift or ST seems to be a bit different. You've got a huge pocket for storage that makes it almost impossible to remove the panel without taking damage. I think it would better to remove the rear backrest beforehand. I used pinching, squeezing, wiggling and some brute force and finally got it out with a few minor scratches. I'd not recommend to do that if you dont have to.

Hi! I'm looking to do exactly the same with my 2017 ST as I too have a rattle in the rear trim (on both sides)! Not sure if it's the speaker or flimsy trim clips but need to take the trim off to investigate. Did you fix your rattle? If so what was the cause and how did you do resolve it?! Thanks!
@robink.94594 жыл бұрын
@@jamesboon7240 Yes, changing the speaker fixed it for me. I think in most cases you can tell by listening, whether it is the speaker or loose trim. A broken speaker membrane has a quite distinct, flapping sound when playing loud bass. However, Ford has become very good in producing cheap, but good quality interior. So it is very unlikely things break off itself. Hope this helps out, good look fixing your little rocket 🚗💨

I just wanted to point out to people trying this. I tried to do this on my ST and the pocket is a bit different as someone mentioned so you have to remove the backrest completly beforehand not hard a few T50 screws and remove the backrest through the front door and not the trunck or you will scratch everything like i did. About the screw at 4:36 don't hesitate just break it, it s useless and a pain in the ass to remove. Apart from that very good video.

How did you manage to get them working? I've put speakers on, connected forscan but it can't see ACM module, exactly same stereo as the one in your video thanks. Edit: Ive managed to turn the speakers on, if you have basic model with no speakers Forscan software is needed to change speakers quantity from 4 to 6.

Installed the speakers today and took an extra cable either side for 2 additional speakers in the boot to go in the parcel shelf. After doing so I have no sound coming from the new speakers which I know need to be activated as it’s only a 3dr but now my front speakers won’t work either, any help would be grateful thanks

It's a case of either popping the rear quarter trim panel off and having a look for the cable or removing the head unit to see if the multi plug is fully populated. Most of the Fiesta models are pre wired.
