thx for the vid. fist owners.. theres a firewall gromit straight back from the clutch pedal. at least on my 18 there is. Use it. that route uses less cable, less hassle, much cleaner and faster than fender for power.

crz john thanks but I didn’t want to go through the firewall

@@kcaz94 why? Just curious

logan smith I didn’t want to deal with drilling, or the chance of water seeping through. This gasket is a clean, noninvasive install, and based on what I read about the firewall is easier to route

Thanks dude much help, was worried about needing a head unit upgrade to run my sub disabling those extra vehicle controls! ..what is the unit called where you’ve connected the speaker cables to? ..and did you find a spare fuse port for the remote cable or just tap in to the heated seats?
@kcaz945 жыл бұрын
I actually tapped into the moonroof! If you don't have one maybe the fuse port is empty/available? And the unit is called PAC SNI-35 Variable LOC Line Out Converter. I got mine on amazon.

Nice video I’m currently installing my set up in my st. What does the ground location look like? Is it right next to the seat belt bolt? I think I found it but it has a 2 wire harness grounded to it, is that it?
@kcaz944 жыл бұрын
softwar3UPDAT3 yes I believe so. I did this so long ago I can’t remember, but the ground back there should be obvious. Remember to reconnect the wires you remove.
@softwar3UPDAT34 жыл бұрын
Zack Mejias ok thanks, the bolt goes through the harness which has exposed metal rings on both sides and then what looks like a metal rivnut in the body of my car. I put the ground ring under the harness so it’s sandwiched between the harness and body. Hoping this is correct. I just couldn’t find anything online showing exactly where and what it looks like. I appreciate your help!

softwar3UPDAT3 no prob. If the amp turns on you’ll know it’s grounded!

I did the same thing with the converter box. but why do you have 4 cables in total going into the box?

Strato-Fortex I don’t know i just followed the instructions it came with and a guide on the fiesta forum.

Hey, I’m new to this sort of thing :/ the wires you tapped into are for the left and right on the sub, correct? If so, which one is left and which is right?
@kcaz945 жыл бұрын
Robert Handoll sorry for the delay. It doesn’t matter. You can switch the way you plug your cable into the amp if your bass cancels itself out. You have to guess and check.

Why are there so many wires coming from the LOC? Did you put two wires tapped into the one wire for the speakers?
@kcaz945 жыл бұрын
Jake Davison I have no idea, something to do with sending signal through a ground loop idk. I just followed the instructions it came with and I believe it also had some brown wires that I just left untethered.
@davidodonnell55634 жыл бұрын
So the video cut out. You mentioned 2 wires. Did you tap into 4 wires total? Pos/neg left rear and pos/neg right rear? If so what color were your other 2 wires? Thanks, love the video the rest is great.

Bro do you have to put an output converter for each side or that one comes for both sides?
@kcaz945 жыл бұрын
Tony Portillo the converter has red and white outputs, standing for left and right sound. So yes, one converter will send both channels.
@777disher5 жыл бұрын
@@kcaz94 thanks bro!
@777disher5 жыл бұрын
I also saw that you only wire the converter to the left speaker, what about the right one?
@kcaz945 жыл бұрын
Tony Portillo I’m not sure what you mean. The converter has several wires, some tap into the left speaker cable, some tap into the right speaker cable. Then you can connect a left and right into the box with your sub cable (blue in this video)

Anshul chouhan I used my sunroof fuse. I apologize for the delay. You can get a plug that will split a fuse. You’ll then find a fuse that turns on and off with your car that isn’t critical (sunroof) and tap into it.
