PES has amazing flow..its just that most players dont use the momentum of the ball. FIFA uses more flow because the players are allowed to do the physically impossible.

well it's one of my favorite of the series along with PES for PS and Pes 6. Pes 11 in my opinion is the closest KONAMI have ever been to a perfect football sim ( with the right kit and transfer patch of course). The passing system is really good. I also have some remarks - like the goalkepers' reactions are sometimes plain stupid.. like jumping sideways when you try to lob him or the knukleshot is a bit unrealistic ( but i give them credit for trying to incorporate it in the game)

i have my xbox360.been playing fifa 11 at the beginning, then after few months i have tried pes 11.pes 11 with all the problems in the game, is a much more realistic football and a lot deeper than fifa 11.the only reason why many gamers can't play pes 11 is because this game is not easy to pick up with the gameplay style. MESSI does feel very much MESSI and also players like ronaldo.you do feel the players in pes 11.in fifa they all pretty much feel the same even with the personality

I was a PES player for a while, but now im a FIFA player. Both games are fantastic in their own way. PES has AMAZING graphics and a really fun game to play. But when i tried FIFA for the first time, everything seemed so flexible. It was easier to do tricks and it was alot satisfying to score goals. Both games are amazing but i prefer FIFA :)

i've been playing fifa almost all my life ... from fifa 2001 to fifa 2010 ... recently i discovered PES ... what you notice in fifa is the momevement ... sure it's realistic and so on ... but it has a massive flaw ... the game engine is designed in such a way that the motions repeat themselves all the time which means the chance of getting something priceless like a goal or move is almost 0% ... PES lacks that engine which means PES > FIFA i played both but simply PES is more realistic ...

fifa has the worst keepers. Sometimes it's just painful when the keeper lets a slow(i mean really slow) shot pass through. point is, it's too freaking easy to score.

@ltkmessi I think that Manager mode in PES is more complex. You have more options, better graphics, and it seems more realistic. The only 1 thing I dont like in PES is that you have to wait for a long time during transfers to transfer a player. In FIFA when you put someone on the the transfer list on the other day you got many offers. In PES its much harder to buy and sell a player.

It never really bothered me that PES never had a "full" license. Quite the opposite actually. Whenever I got the new PES (3,4,5,6,2008 are what I played before I switched to FIFA) I spent the first 4 to 8 hours just tinkering with it. Changing the names of the teams and players, checking their abilities and if needed tuning them and all this before the first kickoff. It might be just me but I really liked that. :D

I remember those days when I used to play these games on pc. Fifa was boring and repetitive, Pes was much better. But ultimately I got tired of both games. I'll be back when I'm no longer troubled by homework, and one of them creates a truly incredible, unpredictable game.

A lot of people play PES as it's easier, in FIFA you have to sweat to make a goal, just like real life! If you want a challenge when you are playing against CPU or your friends then play FIFA, if you want easiest gameplay, more wins, and less frustration because you can't score or pass the defense.. just go PES. And if you want REAL football experience go out to a pitch and play with friends!

FIFA is better when it comes to gameplay and tricks but Pro Evo is a legendary serie since PES 6 was released ;) THAT game was absolutely amazing! ;D

In my opinion, if you play more with friends, you can't beat PES, if you love the solo play than FIFA is the best. PES has the graphics, the physics and it's easy for any starter, FIFA has all the leagues, all the teams, all the players, and a lot more space for improvement because it's not as simple as PES. I love both, but I'm a PES fan.

pes 11 is a very powerfull football game.despite all the issues that need to be fixed,it's still much more football than fifa 11. fifa 11 is more like a directed show when the players are always loosing their balance and fall down for no reason. when i am playing pes 11 on my xbox360 , i do feel very much involved in a real football game.let's hope that pes 12 will bring some new high standard with it so we won't have to compare both games again.

the amount of boots,and how each boots have their own attributes,and boot updates thru-out the season when new boots are released in real life,unlike fifa who have the same 4pair of nike boots,and a pair of nike lime green mercurials (the boots neymar usually wears),yet ur unable to use them on your virtual pro(created player) instead u have to use the basic ea lime green basic boots lol,and detail put into players individually...eg.tattoos ect...that in my opinion is superior to fifas selection

I have had Pes every single year right from Pes 1. Pes 6 was undoubtedly the best game of PS2. Now that they are on the bigger consoles I have noticed FIFA has just accelerated forward and I think they have yet to get Pes right. Although, Pes is getting there and money comparison, Konami are do very well, considering EA are the 2nd richest Games Company in the world.

Im interested...Could you expand mate? Im considering PES 13... I had pes 10 and thought the defense played way too deep, teams were not compact at all. huge gaps between midfield and strikers, strikers never dropped off to collect like rooney does. In the new do players use space intelligently. When you say pES is more realistic what exactly do you mean? Im not interested in player faces and animations, im interested in working opening and creating chances like Barca

I can sorta see what they were trying to do with PES12..i'm still trying to get into it. I'm good with Spain and Holland. I think they could have made the graphics a bit bolder to give it that classic pro ev feel. And I think they should have touched up the animation becuase some movements just look unnatural. It seems they were focusing on having more direct/quicker gameplay as opposed to strings of passing movements. I keep giving the game a chance..sometimes mostly get frustrated with it.

I used to play fifa since 1994 until 2004. on 2005 i discovered PES series which i think is more realistic and fun to play, while FIFA was too slow monotonic. in PES you were able to score so many different goals, in FIFA it's just 1 on 1 situations or a header after a cross or corner. However, i think this year, FIFA finaly came back and made the biggest improvment since their last title at 2003. i own both games, and i must say, this year - it's deffinitely FIFA.

@ThaProo1 it is really dependent in what kind of game style you prefer.fifa is more like a team game .on pes you have some more time to preform some individual play.someone like messi feels much more powerfull on pes than on fifa.i choose pes because i like the freedom that the game offers me.pes 11 has some many issues that need to be fixed of course, but it is still my choice

The Facts: You will side what you play EVEN if its slightly worse. PES wins as a competitive game. FIFA being the official game, has monopoly over teams. Gamplay mainly depends on you, If PES2011 is like NFS. FIFA2011 is more Mario Kart. You can take both seriously but they have different learning curves. If you hate losing to noobs, go PRO. If you want more teams, FIFA. Ultimately I think you'll adapt to what your friends play .

Pro Evo was always better on ps2 and xbox, but when they moved the games to ps3/xbox 360 fifa improved drastically and pes stayed still....Fifa's now a better game

There is no comparison, PES hands down! The only thing that i liked on fifa was the shooting and more free player moves. PES is way better in gameplay and in speed of menu, the little things that really count when you play it.

The funny is that easports have copied alot of PES for example the menus before a game where you pick your squad. That was already in PES 4. Fifa is to static, like a train on a trail. In PES EVERYTHING can happen. It's more random.

iv always bought fifa games since fifa 96 on ps1...lol,but i had too too too many problems with fifa 2011...game freezing on a basic 'quick match'...whenever the other team does a substitute...kicked from the servers during online games...game freezing on certain screens for no reason...but gameplay wise is everything i want...both virtual pro (clubs) and ultimate team are BRILLIANT!!!...i was wondering if pro evo has anything similar to fifas VIRTUAL PRO?...one thing i do like about pes tho is

fifa may have the gameplay but it lacks an in depth career mode, presentation, SERVERS, takes to long to load subs etc. but pes has presentation but lacks great tackling, shooting, crossing, physics, passing, faces but at least the stadiums have steps. they are both great in their own ways but fifa is just overall better. but they both need imrpvment. pes is gameplay, fifa in modes.

I think that new defense system is awful and so impractical... i think they try to make the games way to realistic and are not really fun anymore! Also the Goalkeeper still have troubles deflecting shots.. I have a lot of ideas I think Konami can use to make a great ,realistic and fun game. Maybe they should make the feint moves more to do with the arrows so you can glide past players and really test your skill instead of random combos.... And for FIFA it will never be good, awful engine,faces..

@JumpDiveSlope yeah definitely know what you mean... fifa just feels a bit more 'real' to play, whilst pes like you say does feel more cold and empty. however, pes does feel more arcade-ish and this can sometimes be a winner. however, if im having a sesh with the lads, fifa >> pes anyday. Fifa is just a bit more well rounded, where you can play all out attack in an arcade style mashup, but you can play realistic tactical midfield battles too. it's just more well rounded imo.

Having both i love them both. But the licensing on PES is pathetically poor. I only play manager mode/master league. Fifas manager mode is infuriating as your player can be made man of the match for 3 matches and you'll get an email saying he's doing poorly and his overall is a point less.

If any of you had played pro evo like you said you did and claimed "oh no licenses boohoo", you would have known in 5 mins you would have everything settled with one click of an option file, PS3, PC, Xbox360. All teams proper kits, names etc. That's cause PES has an amazing edit mode and editing community, which makes it worthwhile cause Konami gives us fans freedom to change things. I rather have totally no licenses.

PES is the best game of those who don't have a console [X360/PS3] and they can play just on PC. PES is the king on the PC because you need to have a good PC to play FIFA 11, and a lot of people can't afford that. Almost everyone who have a console they're favourite football game is FIFA 11 and not PES.
