cuz the assisted control helps you out with this sometimes :) (controller setting) but the real through ball (triangle) is more effective imo

The last pass is very useful, do not underestimate it. It's a more powerful pass than short pass, so when you're building play very fast and you don't have strong/tall strikers, doing that sort of pass dorectly to the players feet will keep possession

The best and most complete FIFA tutorials on KZbin. Also like that you speak near flawless English. I don't look for anything else when I look for FIFA tutorials! Although, its still really difficult on Legendary (damn near unbeatable). What do you think of Legendary Mode? Is it generally harder than playing against humans?

Great tutorial! :) Actually the "Bouncing Lob Pass" is good to use if the pitch is soaked when playing in the rain. Where a normal pass stops in the water, the bouncing pass would skip on the ground. ;)

tip: using the bouncing lob pass thing is good to play a pass to the palyers on counters, its accurate on their feet and is hard to cut out

Patrick I just want to say that in fifa 12 the R1+square pass was useful for hitting a pass to your teammate very quickly but now in 13 you have to charge it more for it to be hit firmly. This is useful if you want your teammate to take a heavy touch with the momentum of the ball into a direction to get away from a defender or to take a shot. Please note that this pass is less accurate though and should only be used when mastered because it can come in very useful.

The bouncing lob pass is good so it can get through the defender and then to the ground for the attacker to dominate. Now with first touch control it helps, but not so different from the others honestly.

Press it when using a short pass, the player that has just passed will go on a run straight forward, its handy to pull defenders out of position

I find the bouncing lob pass useful when you're on your half and you want to cross the ball at a time when the opponent is pressuring a lot. It seems to be easier for players to get the ball if it's a bouncing lob, there's less risk of an opponent getting the ball with a header, etc.

I always felt that the bouncing ball pass was 'safer' because the receiving player is more responsive to it. I use it when I'm doing a long pass on my side of the field and I don't want to risk an opponent getting too close to the receiving player and winning the ball with a header, and also because you can be a bit more evasive since you're able to run towards (and away from) the ball with the receiving player to avoid a rival, and not just stand on the place the ball will fall
