I know it's a bit late to give this reply, but if you find yourself again in that situation just press the pass button together with it. This will make your players do a fake shot which cancels any unnecessary clearing you were going to do. Helped me a lot.

You need to position your player very well. It’s best to use it when there are a lot of teammates around you, so if it doesn’t work there will be other teammates to defend

Public Service Announcement for everybody who, like myself, hates the additional arrow which controls the secondary defender defending the ball carrier, you can turn it off on the fifa 19 main menu. I think its listed under 'secondary defender switch'. It makes it very frustrating when trying to lock onto the correct defender to stay a few steps ahead and make an interception.

Krasi, you're good at this, just don't stress out not getting into the TOP 100 this year pls. Instead make more tactical videos, for example analyzing TOP 100 players' play through the champions channel (now we can see when they press what button).

I defend by holding jockey and sprint button, but my players never get close to the opposite players. Its good at covering spaces but I want to know how you put pressure on the player that has the ball. is there any time in which you stop pressing the jockey button or the sprint button?. No, it show you which player is use when you do « teammate contain » AND show you which player will be select when you fast switching L1. This feature is just amazing when you have « understand it » and when you know « how to use it » 👌

ES Hedge Gaming when you press pause you should be able to see trainer settings like in the middle of the screen, there you can choose what you want to be shown.. and for the cursor above players head, you can find it in controller settings menu.. ;-)

ES Hedge Gaming for arrow under player, press pause during the game and then in the middle of the pause screen you will see “trainer settings”. Enter that and set trainer to “show” and then under that “movement” You can also enable other things in that menu like shot elevation, etc..

And it's better because if you use O and then get the ball by a mistake by the other player , then he will clear it, it's better to use X because he will pass it.
