Been practising on the demo, I find for shots in the box you don’t have enough time to charge 2nd tap the defenders block or tackle u before you get the shot off. But I’ve scored a couple from distance when the defenders are backing off. Basically I only go for a timed finish if I have time to charge a shot.

Fifa 😐 I don't know what to say. I genuinely feel like most of the changes could have been an update for fifa 18. I'm trying so hard not to hate on it because I love fifa but I can't be paying the full price for the same game with "updates" added to it. The worse thing about FIFA 18 was the AI, legendary was too easy. And there were no fouls. And the passes were too ping-pongey. And free kick was broken. And and ... But this year there is the CL and EL, and this brand new shooting thing, and licences, and kickoff modifiers. But the gameplay looks exactly like 18 imo, I hope it's gonna be fun at least.

playing the demo right now.... this might be one of the worst Fifas i have played in a while. the shooting feels random. the first touch is off. for example i wont sprint or anything and for some reason my players first touch will go about 5 yards away from his body. defending feels more engaged then last year with tackles though. sliding tackles feel like it glues onto the ball. which is nice but feels too easy. All in all not liking the game

The shooting is weird indeed. But thats just because we compare it with what it was before. I think the old system was more random than this one. Before you would shoot on opportunity by just holding the button and release. Sometimes you score, other times the shot is incredibly off target. Thats what I call random. Now, you can actually get consistent good hits if you just time it right, if you can't, you can no longer blame the game for missing your chances. I think this once is a fresh way of adding some skill into the shooting game.

The first touch thing is intentional. In real life your first touch isn't going to be perfect every time, especially with a bad body position or if the pass into you is fast. They are trying to recreate this and make it feel more realistic.

Tbh I don’t like the timed finishing in this game. That’s why I turned it off the feature on the demo. I was playing as Real Madrid against PSG and everytime I was though on goal or taken a shot from outside the box, all my shots would go in.

A few things. The fifa demo impressed me. Players and movement feel like there's a real weight to them. Pes animation looks like they're on ice. Too much leg movement for the amount of distance covered. It feels like players glide in that game. FIFA it feels like they stride when going fast. It's subtle. But I always see it. Secondly. Timed shooting for me is a great idea. Nobody is telling you to do it ALL the time. I see myself trying this when I'm desperate. Time is running out. I have no clear passing options. I know shooting would be stupid but I need something. Anything. So. I shoot. And I time it perfectly. And it flies into the top corner. My risk was rewarded. But if I fluff it then I waste it and I lose. It's a great idea. You guys just see new stuff and go crying to mommy. Whaaaaaaaa they put new stuff in. Whaaaaaaaa. Geez guys. Relax.

Honest not a big fan. I play sometimes and I always get the shot green but it has too much power and it’s hard to time it. It’s also different with every player so it’s worse to change and get a better play then to stay with the same one.

Pes is godawful this year. Every game ends either in a 0:0 or a 1:0 because defending is just so easy. It's not even realistic. Just keep pressing X and every defender becomes a prime version of Nesta or Maldini. Pes 2017 is probably one of the best football games I have ever played, but Pes fell off after that
