Personally I use 4-3-3 (Attacking) and put Messi in cam and I instruct him to stay forward. I do this to either pass and take long shots with him. Then I put Dembele in right wing. I make Dembele stay wide and get in behind and stay forward. And I tell Coutinho to come short and cut inside to take long shots too. And I tell Suarez to get in behind to finish easily. And I tell my full backs to stay back when attacking to defend the opposing wingers if needed.

Maybe it’s the way I play but this ruined Barca for me. The formation is good. Messi should not be aggressive on interceptions. It wastes him faster than he already wastes. Balanced defense...again, maybe I don’t know how to defend but I play much better with press after possession loss. Roberto’s skills don’t make up for how slow he is on defense. Semedo being the only fast person on defense I just can’t see why you would make your whole defensive line slow when you have him there. Especially if you aren’t doing crosses, there is plenty of attacking talent elsewhere, Roberto is unnecessary and weakens your defense against any team with pace up front center or left. Rakitic should be on the right like in real life and coutino on the left, his curl is better. Rakitic has a killer enough power strike I score loads with him there. Also don’t hold him back he should be involved. Use this formation but physically move busquets back to cdm like he is in real life. This allows him to go center back for a back three allowing the fullbacks freedom to move up. I suppose it comes down to playing style, but what this guy suggests completely ruined my season.

Or you could play the default 4-3-3 with dembele starting then instruct Vidal and Racitic to get and get into the box on crosses this will help with the lack of aerial threats and instruct Sergio to stay back while attacking and cut passing lanes this helps with the defensive work load With these instructions the full backs should be instructed to be balanced on everything so they'll make the runs whenever there's space but won't leave holes on defence. I have been playing FIFA 15 on legendary difficulty, fifa 15 is most fifa game because of it's unstable ingnite engine, and I destroyed the legendary cpu many times , but when I upgraded to fifa 19 , there was another difficulty even above legendary in the career mod , which is ultimate difficulty, back In fifa 15 , I used to use a 3-4-3 formation, because this formation is a really formation, using this formation on difficulty like legendary is extremely hard , but i still manged to destroy the cpu , many times , when I started to use this same formation in FIFA 19 , At legendary difficulty, I was still destroys the cpu with ease , I scoring 6-7 goals in every match, I was playing, My playing style is tiki-taka , I using this style in fifa 15 and It about 2 years to master this playing style, not everyone can master tiki taka style in fifa , but I used tiki-taka to destroy legendary difficulty cpu with a formation like 3-4-3 both in fifa 15 and fifa 19 , But when I upgraded from legendary difficulty to ultimate difficulty cpu which is above legendary difficulty cpu ,I have still scored 8-9 goals in many of the matches ,I played but I was still struggling because 3-4-3 was not properly working in fifa 19 on difficulty, I tried many different 3-4-3 variations ,But then I tried this 4-3-2-1 formation and these tactics and instructions, these b/r guys told , I still made some changes to the tactics and instructions of my own and now I am again destroying ultimate difficulty cpu in fifa 19 , So thanks to these B/R guys , May god bless them❤

Barca is the most OP team in the game, you literally don’t even have to do much, the CPU will do most of it as far as positioning, and making runs goes. Not to mention literally 9/10 shots with Messi, or Suarez will end up in the back of the net if you can curl it with enough power, and at the right angle. Also, the ball seems to have some magnetic attraction to Barca in fifa because the first tackle will almost always A. Actually move the ball forward ahead of the opposing defender. Or B. Land on another teammate. So yeah. If you play with Barca you pretty much already have a foot in the door.

4-4-2 flat. suarez-dembele Coutinho messi rakitic-busquets alba-umtiti-pique-semedo Idk how good this is for you, but this works perfect for me, attacking on. dembele scores at least one through ball over the top or just down the middle chance for me every game he is too fast. He will smoke any defenders in a foot race. Coutinho causing havoc on the left. Suarez for buildup play and lay-offs for dembele. Messi can cut in and also make great wide overlapping runs when you bring the ball up with semedo who is very quick.

I will add, I prefer to play with the offensive style set to Balanced as opposed to Possession. I have found the possession style to be a little sluggish and harder to make any kind of impact in the counter attack. Semedo over Roberto. Everything else is butter, though!

4-2-2-2 would be excellent for Barca. Its a perfect balance of width and narrowness where you can simply adjust Coutinho and Dembele to go wide or just stay more central. Have Messi and Suarez play as false 9's which would allow coutinho and dembele to make runs out wide and provide more chances. Suarez's high work rate gets him into the box almost instantly to finish off the chances by dembele and coutinho or with Messi being near the top of the box you can play cutback passes into him and he can have a go at goal. Most of the tactical advice in this video is horrible. Messi on aggressive is beyond stupid as he has low stamina, and if all three attackers get in behind, you will often find a massive gap between midfield and attack, as no attacker would be linking up play, and all three will be running in behind. I can suggest tactics ten times better than this and more realistic to Barca’s style so that you can boss the game even when you’re playing against ultimate difficulty cpu. And by bossing the cpu, I mean thumping 4-5 goals past them each game
