I always play tikitaka in FIFA with formation of 4-1-2-1-2. my playing key is Busi as CDM to connect the center backs during build up. Griezzy as CAM to connect RF or RS Messi and LS Suarez to play some little one-two-one. If opponent defenders are congested I only pish Alba too high. and you will be surprised to see my success rate...! As Messi is my main weapon I would never try the video formation. I don't want my best man to stay wide most of the times. i would rather play him in front of goal as a second stricker. He will always come deep to support attacking build up.

There is one thing I find is mistake u should never put the defensive width so wide. But it should be narrow as possible. Remember what cruyff said play the ball wide as possible and defend as narrow as possible. Which was the theory of the tiki taka.

Personally i find it easier against modern day teams with this kind of formation and team lineup: start with a 4-3-3 holding default, not the barcelona default. Set messi as the ST and make his role for Get In Behind. Ansu fati LW and Dembele RW, both wingers need to be set to defend when getting attacked that way they both drop down more and you can build the play, set them for get in behind the defense and get inside the box. In the midfield set de jong CDM, puig LCM, arthur RCM. Now ik you will say puig is 71 ovr but he is absolutely perfect for this role, trust me. all midfielders set to cover center, and de jong has the ability to go support attack, de jong is capable of running up and down but this option is only so that de jong can move up the midfield abit more than what busquets would be at. Arthur will be set to Get Inside the Box and attacking support while Puig is balanced and stays outside of the box. Lastly jordi needs to be set to balanced attack mostly cuz i like him better for building the play and defending rather always attacking and having to drop down. Semedo in for Roberto and Semedo needs to attack up field. Pique set to not attack while lengley plays as ST only when ur losing. Trust me play with 1-2’s and build the play by being patient and timing your passes. You won’t lose 😉 i don’t think i forgot anything so enjoy this if i remember anything else i’ll comeback to this comment.

That tactics doesn't work if you have slow defenders and the opponet has Mbappe, Aubamenyang, Mane, etc. I'd suggest you to use my tactics at the beginning of the match: Formation: 4-2-2-2, Full backs stay back while attacking, Winger CAMs come back to defence, CDMs stay back while attacking and cover center, one of the less attacking or slower forwards False 9. Tactics: Defense - drop back, width - 5 bars, depth - 3 bars, Offense - Possesion, width - 5 bars, player i.b. 1 bar, corners and free kicks 1 bar.
