Just got this game and every game ends in ridiculous scorelines. Its so hard not to concede goals. Fifa 21 is so much more attack based. All people do is sprint towards goal and score.

I hadnt played any fifa since fifa 14. I only got started with fifa 2020 and neal guides helped me undo so much muscle memory from old gameplay. Wasnt easy. Started playing fut only in fifa 20 and tactical defending was so hard in the beginning but i kept practising. Lost my first 21 games in fifa 21 fut in very horrible ways but i still kept watching tutorials and never gave up. Now i have 17 wins with a 4 game win streak yesterday. Thanks so much Neal!

Been doing this since day 1 yet I cannot get the ball I make the most perfect tackle where either the ball just bounces back to my opponent or the opponent player falls on the ball so my defender cannot get it and then I concede it’s very annoying to see this happen and it happens every single game not now and then but every game

Played 10 won 8 enjoyed, have watched few of your videos but hadn't subscirbed, did it after watching this. You used a live game and talked us through on what u do, could not adapt everything but did adapt a few things to change my game. This is the best defending tutorial! What i can suggest you mate is to use ball roll skill, crossovers and first touch fake shots ! Practice it a lot and you will see the difference ! When used in a good timing and in the right direction, it can create a lot of space !!! Good luck

The game is a mess. I won 8 games consecutively I could control my defenders and then all of a sudden in the next two games I got hammered and barely had any control over my defence at all could not move them into any position that I wanted to every attack against me was almost a goal and it was effortless just an L1 tap and a through ball and my defence and whole team for that matter just went to sleep and didn't want to play anymore

Finally someone who feels the same way as i do, refs in this game are so bullshit. For me its 9/10. I had a game yesterday which I lost 4-5 and 4 goals the guy scored are pens, which 3 of them are non existent because i cut the ball cleanly his guy goes down and the ref BAM penalty against me, the other one lloris goes stupid and instead of grabbing the ball goes to the guy legs. When the game was ended I only laugh, i don’t even get mad anymore, but it’s bullshit still.

Is there a way to pull back your back line towards the goal? I give up so many fast breaks because the skilled players just run past my back line. Also, opponents can knock me off the ball easily, but their players seem to have a force field around them...What do you do to knock someone off the ball when going shoulder to shoulder?

manual jockey + analog sprint on is so much better, you have much more control, i can not imagine going back to assisted jockey. But I have to say it's more exhausting because you have to constantly adjust the pace with the right trigger, but you will be rewarded.

I find that for some reason the right anolog stick is best for defending it keeps your player in line and works better for some reason ...I find it strange all I have to do is track and use the right anolog without pressing tackle

I’m up 1-0 and getting close to the 80th min. On the 80th min the AI just starts pressing hardcore with a boost of stamina of course and they won’t stop until they get the ball and score. Well they score and the game ends 1-1. Im on career mode with 8 draws no wins or loses lol all games 1-1. 😶 playing on ultimate with online competitive settings on and competitive mode on.

It doesn't help when at random stages in games (not every game) the defenders legs go invisible and some how the ball just skips through there legs, so frustrating. Usually happens when someone does a skill move followed by a pass
