Football has been around long before oil rich countries and will be around a long time after. Germany for instance has some of the best players, best and most historic teams, and is doing fine without some sheikh buying out the teams for his personal vanity projects. 50+1 saved them from the fate of English football.

Ensuring that the Club continues to act in the interest of its members and not some investors coming in on a shopping spree.
