Tbf you can only say that in hindsight after we saw in the semis. No one could’ve ever possibly predicted a 7-1 blitzkrieg by Germany, at just how reliant brazil were on 2 players (Neymar and Thiago). Hence without any knowledge of the 7-1, a R16 loss to Chile on penalties, would’ve actually been there worst result since 1990. So they still would’ve been regarded as a shame
