Hi @@adamgreen4336, I'm waiting for a reply from a Fifine representative, but as far as I can see, it seems to be a design update to the A8 Plus. The A9 looks to have better ergonomics on the polar pattern selection button. I'll update you when I hear otherwise. Thanks for the question!

would you suggest the ampligame a8 plus more than the am8? i’m conflicted on what to buy between the two

I haven’t yet tested the AM8 but the fact that it also is an XLR is a huge bonus. Keep in mind that the A8 has more modes though so if you want to record with two people sitting around one mic, the A8 is what you want. If it’s just you and you want to add a mixer down the line, get the AM8. I’ll see if I can get a review and explore all the pros and cons though. Let me know what you end up doing!
