I feel like a lot of people mostly like their up beat songs (which is totally understandable, they are amazing) but Universe is one of my all time favorite songs that exo released. For me it's just one of those songs that makes you feel some type of way and in my opinion that makes a song so very special and dear.

I stan peahead. Also, I wish more BTS fans were open to checking out EXO. A lot of fans I see on twitter avoid listening to them because of the silly competitiveness between fans and I’ve seen a lot of fans of other groups spread negative rumours about EXO. It really sad considering how humble and talented they are. You were right about universe though. For a winter song it brings so much warmth and comfort, so much depth. It like a nice hot coffee when it’s cold. It’s beautiful.

That's our almost 8 year journey with EXO. It was bittersweet. Extreme happiness, sadness put in their music but ofcourse it was also full of love that they have for EXO-Ls. The way you describe the song as being full, that's something I think resonates through the whole Universe winter album. When I got this album and looked through the photos of them holding string and yarn in their sweaters, I took photos of myself holding string and yarn in a sweater, lol!! I think Universe is special to a lot of EXOL because 2017 was a year many new fans came, which also could be indication as to why The War/Power of Music is also a favorite LP. I also think the whole concept and theme was just better executed than the previous Winter albums- especially considering, like The War/Power of Music, it stays consistent in sound throughout the tracks. Been Through, the second song on Universe, blew up and became a fan favorite. It was even requested on the radio in the US and UK- I kept seeing tweets about it when it was happening. Universe also has my favorite EXO song on it: Lights Out. It's just Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, and D.O. on it, but I really loved it upon first listen and then when I looked up the lyrics it cemented itself as a favorite EXO song of mine.

Coffee theme? That's the artistically interesting of this track. Fifi, did you know that EXO's fandom colour is the universe's colour called 'Cosmic Latte'? All of them are connected, the title song, the coffee, the symbolism. They also used coffee as the concept of the mv, because it's the general symbol of warmth of winter. The colour palette was one of the element too.
