I still think Dinah deserves more in this song. This is solely my opinion but she is the only one that has the complete star quality package. She sings AMAZINGLY well, she can perform the hell out of a song and she can dance. This post is not meant to offend anyone. I'm a true Harmonizer but I have had love for Dinah since auditions.

They should have given Dinah the final chorus then it would have been equal! Normani would still have the most because she's rapping, but she never has many solos anyway! But I agree, Dinah genuinely has the better voice in the group, she can hit all the right notes in all the right places, I'm not saying the other girls can't, but Dinah can go from the very low to the very high, whereas the rest, they either have a low register or a higher register, Normani and Lauren have lower, and Ally and Camila have higher, but Dinah has BOTH!! Dinah became my favourite when since The X Factor performance of 'Give your heart a break' when she done the killer note towards the end! I didn't see their auditions until after the live shows because I'm from the UK so I only had youtube, but Dinahs audition was sensational!

the scatting fits perfectly with the jazzy vibe and bass guitar ! camila's runs and scat section are rehearsed, they all go into the performance with the gist of what they are going to do so i don't know why people think she came up with that on the spot just to get attention. besides, ally is the one that truly shines in this acoustic rendition.

This was honestly such an amazing performance. I love how they all add something different to the song: Normani's pure vocals, Ally's high notes, Dinah's harmonies, Lauren's raspy voice and Camila's runs. I don't think they try to 'outshine' eachother in any way. Each of them has different qualities and after all it only makes them unique as a group.

In groups, parts are giving to the person who's voice is better equipped to handle the range that the part has. I've watched many reality group shows and know that's how the producers do these things. Normani has the voice to suit a song like this which is more urban. The others have voices that can sing r&b and pop. But each voice has a unique difference in voice range. So that's what makes them work. And I love it,

I rmmbr back when they were on XFACTOR Lauren was the core vocal leader cos she does hav the most mature voice but now her vocal range is not being explored as much as the rest especially Camilla and Ally. Sad cos Lauren has much more powerful voice

her vocal range isn't as wide. Lauren isn't the designated belter/high-noter because its not what her voice tends to. She's good at low harmonies, but Camila and Ally are both probably sopranos, definitely Camila so power and range are better possibilities for them. It all depends on where their strengths are. I do not believe Lauren has the most powerful voice, Dinah does by far, but Lauren has a nice tone.
