I broke my foot a week ago and the X-rays show:Third metatarsal laterally displaced by 5mm 4th metatarsal mildly displaced Cuboid and cuneiforms mildly displaced. On the night of the injury the surgeon who saw me in the ER said I would need surgery. During my consultation (5 days later) a different surgeon said I do not. They want me to partially weight bear in a moonboot for 5 weeks, then reassess. I am wondering if I should be getting a third opinion. I am hoping to get back to work (nurse) and back to running as soon as possible. I am worried about the displaced 3rd metatarsal healing in an incorrect position- will this cause me issues in the future ?

I am suffering from fifth metatarsal Jones fracture. Dr. Had put primary plastor for 5 days after that he had put permanent fiber plastor. And told me that after 3-4 days rest you can move and do your daily activities. Is it good or not and I am totally confused. And mentally exhausted, please guide.
