I live 1mile from work and I am happy with 30mpg... No DPF shit because at this point they are 12years old and You will need the DPF clean just to be sure... And on the standart 225/50/17s the ride its on different level... For around 4000 pounds "nothing" is close in terms of pure sexy design with the nicest ASS out there... The market will be going for the 1.75TBi, which didn't exist until 2010. The 2.2JTS is slow and the 3.2 JTS V6 is just a disappointment for a V6 engine. I test drove both the V6 and a remapped 2.4 JTDm when buying one of these and I went for the 2.4. It rides better.

1 - The 2.4JTD is NOT a Alfa engine, its a FIAT engine. I suggest you run like you are running from the devil!!! 2 - And its not because its a bad engine, its because its a very LARGE and HEAVY engine, and all Alfas are very low stance cars, and it has given nothing but trouble on every single Alfa-Romeo equipped with them because of this. 3 - Pot holes? Road bumps? Get used to replace cracked oil sumps, its a life style with these engines on Alfas. 4 - Front struts? Yeah, you better check them every 6 months or so. The damn engines are so heavy they damage them quickly with regular use. 5 - Need a timing belt change? Get ready for a surprise when it's time to pay the mechanic. Its a full engine removal operation. the engine is so large there is no other way around it. Truly, as far as engine usage goes, this isn't a bad engine, its fairly smooth, and has plenty of torque, but it has far too many downsides when used on Alfas. You want a Diesel Alfa Romeo, stick to the 1.9JTD. Yes its also a FIAT engine, as are all JTDs. No, it doesn't matter, it's actually a reliable engine, as good as anything else is the same category. And as far as Alfa-Romeo as a brand goes, just do yourselves a favor and don't get anything below the 159. I know they are beautiful cars, but they are endless money pits as it is already, so don't make your lives worse. *sigh* I do miss my old Alfa-Romeo 33 quadrifoglio...
