I'm fully aware of how legendary the GT3 RS is, I mean aside from E92 M3's and Mk3 Meganes, I dare say it's one of the most regularly seen cars at Nurburgring. I think to take the R34 GTR Nismo and compare it, for one of the guys to comment 'This is a race car' as he's doing the fast lap in the Porsche, it's quite an achievement for the GTR to be within striking distance, 1/4 mile - faster, every day ownership, I think they were wrong here as in my opinion 2 extra seats, a whole useable boot, actual door handles not straps, they listed the interior finish as a bonus in the Porsche but if I ever agreed to spend £800 on painted air vent surrounds... come on guys. I'm guessing this episode was aired in 2020, the R35 has reached the end of its life now, the Nismo is a final tribute and I'd take that all day long over the GT3 RS, as nice as it is.

I own a GTR RS 4.0. I love my car but I have to say I disagree with A LOT of things they said and how they drove the gtr nismo. You don’t drive that car like a normal car. You just point the nismo where you want it to go and the electronics will magically just make the awd system do what it has to do. On a normal car you feel it’s limits limits. With a gtr it can do what you don’t think it can. Watch how the drug drives the gtr and it’s not even a nismo and it’s much older. Faster than the zonda Where it understeers you just turn the wheel more and floor it. And the car will work it out. You push it past the limits you think any car is capable of going. It’s a very unique experience. Also, 7k for carbon brakes. Hahaha. No. I wish. It was 20k for carbon. I wish it was 7k.

I'ma JDM fanboy, but I'd definitely take the Porsche. There's probably only like 2 or 3 cars in production right now that I'd take over a GT3 RS. That NA 4.0 liter flat 6 revving to 9,000 RPM is pretty hard to say no to.

7:50 Seconds and already two commercials, plus, the first commercial came on just as the first race started. Thumbs Down...

Couldn’t agree more the Nissan is well out of its depth,it’s cheap inside,doesn’t looks special etc etc.Listen to the Porsche the engine is special it sounds awesome and it’s 100% a drivers car...way more special.

991 is less exclussive than a GTR

Jaeïro eh it’s basically a Gtr with a few average bits on.its not exclusive it’s a very expensive cheaply put together wanabe super car

Engine placement makes a huge difference in acceleration and handling. The Porsche gt3 rs is rear engine and rear engine cars get off the line much better and takes corners more responsibly but more prone to oversteer as well. The GTR R35 only has AWD to launch off the line as quick as a rear engine car but will have more a bit more understeer in the corners.

The Nismo is soooo overpriced! Get the regular one and with $10k upgrades you blow pass the Nismo!

GTR still, everyday. Easier to work on instead of just looking at the fans lol.

It wasn't fair of the lap time comparison, because it should be the same driver driving in two different cars.

Give the GTR carbon discs and it could be a different outcome.

I wouldn't say a track focused gtr having back seats is a bonus. For that price I'd expect it to a featherweight.

Personally, i think they should have pitched the GTR against the 991 turbo for a more like for like comparison. 2+2 and 4WD

Better the same driver for both cars, Because one is a pro racing, the other one not ! So this is the most unfair part ! When Bruno Senna was driving the GTR, he won for example !
@MrRedRye4 жыл бұрын
Might want to do your research. Both are pro racing drivers and Plato is certainly better than Chandock. There was no way that GTR was going to beat the GT3 RS no matter who was driving it

How accurate is the drag race when both of you are guessing when to start? Why not get someone to flag off a start?
@Tachyon8363 ай бұрын
I'd still pick the GTR. I can only have one car and honestly I'd prefer it as my only car. I've dreamed of it for so long. I'm settled with a tuned BMW for now, but eventually the GTR is coming
@FAT88934 жыл бұрын
Jason's right, it's hard to justify the Nismo's price tag since it doesn't change much from the original and also isn't special enough. Even if I'm not a JDM fan, I would buy the older GT-R R35 and get myself a tuning kit.

Everyone just complains about the rain that puts the 911 in a disadvantage, which is ridiculous, the GTR would not survive neither, so what if its AWD, the system will overload the car and later suffers from heavy understeer while the 911 RS just dance around even on the wet

I'd still rather have the Nissan as the VW is very likely to fall to pieces after two years owning it and cost a fortune to keep going after that.

The normal GTR is better in my opinion, far more practical and very comfortable if you have the prestige edition.
