I love making tarts and pies especially with fruits... this recipe has a very light buttery tart base and a delicious frangipane filling topped with figs. You can replace with pears and berries and it works just fine. To intensify the taste of the filling, you can add almond extract however I feel it is good as it is. I always prefer recipes that calls for ingredients that are easily available.
All my bakings are less sweet so feel free to adjust the sweetness to your taste.
Tart Shell Recipe
190g Plain Flour
25g Sifted Icing Sugar
100g Cold Unsalted Butter
1tsp Vanilla Extract Paste

Frangipane Recipe
125g Almond Meal
100g Sifted Icing Sugar
25g Plain Flour
125g Butter at Room Temperature
2 Whole Eggs + 1 yolk

Fresh Figs
