Hell yeah. More commentary and fight breakdowns please. Just got into Muay Thai and would love to have a channel from an experienced fighter giving tips and knowledge. 🙏🏿😊

Excellent bout there Sylvie 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻. Great to watch. There's something quite simple and raw about Kard Chuek, more of a scrap and pleasing to watch. Maybe it's because it reminds me of Kickboxer 😂😂😂. Best bits - 0:28 your card pic is SO buff, mean, and moody 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻. And 18:28, is there Thai for Whack-a-mole 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂. Kevin's work again is wonderful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. And please do tell, what's that first track that accompanies the photo shots? Thanks for sharing sister 🙏🏻. 😎

Your defence was excellent this fight! She had a very hard time landing any punches

Great fight Sylvie! Was the amount of times that the ref interveined, normal for these types of events? Looked to me like you were still working and landing strikes in the clinch pretty consistently.

Congratulations on another great fight Sylvie! What it’s like fighting with rope wraps instead of gloves; is there a noticeable difference to pain/ damage during or after the fight?

Hey sylvie how did you learn Thai? Was it mostly immersion because you live there, or was it more study than anything else?

Any chance of posting the boxing match as well?

Have you beat the record you were originally aiming for? Also, Kevin is a wonderful photographer...it's interesting to hear the difference between kard chek and entertainment Muay Thai. Like how the kicks may score you points but not necessarily a knockout. The punches and elbows will do that. I think that's so interesting as in general we think kicks as having this insane knockout power but yet in these fights, where points don't matter, kicks aren't being thrown as much. I wonder if that's a common thing or if it just depends on the martial artist.

Last I heard (from her runcast maybe?) she was still going for 400 fights but she's been forced to slow down because the Muay Thai scene has changed since the COVID pandemic

Also I think kicks do have knockout power but neither of them were big kickers. Sylvie is the queen of knees and Pornapha is apparently Muay kow as well, but was focusing on boxing this fight.

Why is Kard Chuek not more poplar/mainstream? It seems even more digestible than mainstream combatsports. Rope on fists and only ko to win? That's a universal language lol.

The ref intervened way too much, pretty much saved the other fighter from a guaranteed loss at the end.

Wait … how can this be a draw??? I’m really confused - knock down 2:0 … did I miss something?
@8limbsUs5 күн бұрын
@sunnysangjiji this rule set is KO or draw. So, you can only win or lose by KO, otherwise it's a draw, as they don't award points or score.
