@@impurerockkk so that just makes him the fastest, strongest, most aero, best doper of the peloton at this years Vuelta. It’s never just the juice that makes the best athletes the best. Genetics + talent + work ethic + mental toughness + PEDs on top of all that is very, very hard to ever beat. Ask everyone on Lance’s, Pantani, Ullrich, Landis, Riis, Schleck, etc etc etc best days. They were all unbeatable on some days and on some tours.

I would love to see how Remco would go in the tdf against Jonas and the Tadej. Roglic is having a difficult time of it lately. Mind you he is still second in a grand tour but we have come to expect a lot from him given his dominance especially of the vuelta over the last few years

As an Ineos supporter I thought it would be either Sivikov or Goeghanhart to take GC spot but as it's turns out it's actually Rodriguez that's taken over the GC spot. This lad looks good right now. Roglic is DONE!! Even if Sep Kuss was still there to help him he's just not up to the task. What a HUGE mistake from Almeida!! The 3rd week is unknown for Remco and I don't know what to expect but he's performing BEYOND my expectations!! Very impressive.

Either Roglic is still not recovered from the tdf or he's simply just falling. This course suits Remco since it's not loaded with steep climbs. We'll see how he does at the Tour next year. We might have a third challenger if everyone is in form.

I was amateur TT champion several years in a row of the state of Florida here in the US back in the 1990s, and I had aero bars, aero wheels and aero helmet, but these guys could have kicked my ass like I was standing still. These average speeds are unreal. I mean, Remco's average TT speed was about my all out sprinting speed! Needless to say, I sucked at sprinting. 😕

Roglic at 2.41 is the only rider who could claw back time on Remco in the Sierra Nevada but, 1) IMO Roglic is still suffering from his back injury (he looks very stiff off the bike) and this back pain comes from climbing, and 2) his TJV mountain domestiques are all gone from the race so he doing it solo..

there is only 1 tourrider better then remco, only pogacar could beat remco. We are happy remco almost have his strenght back from before his accident in that ravin !! finaly we belgians had to wait 55 years afther eddy merckx to have a tour rider again. Wat a luxery we have the best 1 day racer from the whole world with Wout and one of the top 3 tourriders of the world with remco.

I saw a documentary like a decade ago that talked about a device tested by the US military to help with hypothermia and heat exhaustion. It relied precisely on what you mention, the veins in the hands. It could delay hypothermia by waming up the blood circulating in the body.

Stage 10 is 11 stages shy of victory - not even half-way home and they are already crowning him KING ??? !!! - Remco has not been a Grand Tour threat in his young career to date - IF he keeps this form - he WILL win but ... he has had some history of deflating performances at key moments over long stage races - hey sure - he LOOKS GREAT but ... ... ... it is still VERY EARLY DAYS here - he has time to go BUST and one bad stage makes a BIG difference to the PRESSURE GAME - he is a real talent but he cannot feel safe

If he does win however we'll be looking at the soon-to-be greatest 1-week stage racer of this decade, after Roglic's undeniable run as the best of the late 10s/early 20s. His power on the climbs of this first week is literally unrivaled by any other current GC contender, Pogacar and Roglic included. Nobody has produced these performances for a looong time. If he holds on for 3 weeks, we're at least looking at the next big thing.

He still rode the TT but he just rode a very casual TT. His objective is the green jersey and MOST sprinters just ride a casual TT cos they have no need to place well in TT. That's only for GC guys to place well to keep OVERALL time minimal.
