Can't miss a lecture on Cliff!

You should totally do the middle section of trapped under ice. The scream from my soul part. Cliff plays a really gnarly bass riff in that section

Cliff another great Innovative creator. He showed us something new..!!
@f_USAF-Lt.G2 жыл бұрын
He showed us the cheating that studio engineers were dead-set against, in the studio... But the fact that a separate copyright is needed - just for the ASCAP Licencing to cover the preformance, is due some recognition!

Best bass teacher on youtube, by far!

Great lesson, Mark! Easily my favourite Metallica track of all time. I'd love it if you could cover the other parts of the song :) Like the pre-chorus and also the chorus too!

You're an amazing teacher, almost every lesson you've put out I've learnt even when it seemed crazy hard. I'd love if you could teach Victor Wooten's Can't Hold No Groove.

What a great lesson again Mark!

Mark, your lessons are very good. You are an awesome teacher. I have been playing songs on bass for almost 51 years; but, I had no idea what a triad or an arpeggio and a pentatonic was before I started learning from you. Thanks much

THANK YOU for talking about the "Burton - Cheat"... 🙄 So many guitarists and drummers acted like it's not a thing, but you went into the detail of how the time is kept-in-progression perspective, 😌 and even threw in the "alternative chords" !! 😷Stay safe, Stay healthy Mark !

Had to figure it out on my own, but I do appreciate this video! Almost covered it before watching but I think I'll practice this first! I'd also like to hear the pre-chorus and pre-solo.

Would be great to see some more slayer videos. Always interesting to see what the bass does along side all those fast guitar parts

🤔remember when Michael Jackson wore tape on his fingers for a louder "throw - snap"? 😄kinda-like needing tape on the fingers... Looks wonky, but lasts through the set.

How about the pre-chorus section of this song? That's what really gets me at speed right now. Edit: I guess it would be the intro 3 section

That's a cracking tone.

I've been away too long from bassdom... pickups now how lights!

Wait.. you’re plating the notes wrong. Not the gallop he does but the sequence of notes. The sequence is 3 2 2, 3 2 1

I'm really confused when the peace sells starts second time after the break...every bass cover has different versions .....please clarify that part for the bass community..

If I’m thinking of the right spot, the really fast 0’s and 7’s, I think cover solutions has the closest compared to the isolated original track

😂 nostalgia becomes a bitch with teasers like this... 😑 but Mark was straight about not moshing the other people in the room during lessons ( 😂😂😂 )

Didn't Cliff only pick with 2 fingers?
@AnnoyingOrange4202 жыл бұрын
Yes, but I guess using 3 because its easier to play triplets like that once you learn the technique
@Necro-sАй бұрын
Pretty sure he did 99% but after listening to Fight Fire i don't know how is it HUMANLY possible to play those gallops w/ 2 fingers. They sound like 3 fingers, but im not sure
@jackgraham5037Ай бұрын
I learned to play this song both ways. It took me about 2 years. Sounds better with 2 fingers but getting the speed and precision is a real stretch.
@CyrilViXP2 жыл бұрын
Could do it on 100 bpm, but not faster)
@f_USAF-Lt.G2 жыл бұрын
🤔tapping your fingers on a practice drum pad_ is used for building speed... Also, the delicate-guitar touch with the gain up, can help with gliding fingers over the string(s) !! 😷Stay safe, Stay healthy!
@CyrilViXP2 жыл бұрын
@@f_USAF-Lt.G yeah, thanks, I was practicing for the whole day and was able to do up to 140 bpm, but now my third finger looks butchered. I never used it so much before while playing acoustic or electric guitar :)
@dambrooks75782 жыл бұрын
Of course I want, like any sane person would, like to learn more of that tune; it is Metallica were still an interesting band before it became the Ulric & Hatfield Ego Show 🤔
