5:15 is something I tell myself all the time. Play with no fear. It's not like you're getting punch and taking the damage IRL. I'm amazed at how shaken even some of the top players get with just a little bit of pressure. Great video as always brother. Keep the videos coming. I always learn something new when watching your content!

Hey it's one of my favorite youtubers! Yeah the fear thing is very real both in the game and real life. Over the years I've learned that the two things that weed out people in real boxing. 1. if they can even handle the training itself , required roadwork etc. Most can't do that. 2. If they let fear control them. Those two intangibles are everything and it's shocking to learn who has it and who doesn't. I've seen big heavily tatted guys straight out of the pen bitch out and I've seen a nerdy, chomo looking white boy that was a straight savage in the ring. That kid started winning amature fights in just a few months. But absolutely many, many fight night players fight scared for no reason at all. Also wanted to say it's great to see you back on KZbin and you've picked up and continued on even better than before. Your content is greatly appreciated. Take care bro.

Great job man, blocking properly is quite an art and your tutorial teaches it to perfection. Personally, i hate body shots (stamina drain) because i find them the most difficult to block (especially the straights). I hope my message is written correctly because i use google translate because unfortunately i only speak french lol. Greetings bro and thanks. 👍👍😃

@@downtheshore359 Thanks for the reply, I'm having real issues seeing some comments, it's a youtube thing, I tried another computer and browser but anyway I'm the same, tough choice between brawler and inside fighter. I went with Brawler just to have that extra point of chin for an OWC challenge I was doing. Trying to win as many in a row with a brawler to show people that you can win a lot without a straight. The most common build on youtube is inside fighter with maxed straight. I want to show you could be brawer with no straights and win just as often. I also picked brawler for the name. When people think brawler they think untechnical swinging of hooks and that's about what I do. I wanted newer people to know you can go against the grain and not throw a lot of straights without a giant build and still win. That was probably the biggest reason for pushing the brawler style. It's something different and the word brawler fits a little better. The goal was to get new people to start brawling instead of running around throwing straights and sidestep uppercuts like most do. It's a tough choice for me as well and I often switch between brawler and inside fighter.

Awesome!. I actually planned for years to make these kinds of vids but thought there was no interest plus editing videos, commentating etc is not my thing. Also I gotta admit, I'm lazy with stuff like this. I just glad I'm able to help people and there's more interest than I thought. There are several factors on landing hooks. On is of course the punch stats stats. Another is using sticks, they land more often, take less stamina and have more power than when using buttons. There are many way to open the opp up. Throwing first to the body then head is a big one. I.E. jab to body, hook to head etc. Another thing is not throwing too much, short 2-3 combos are better than say 6 right hooks in a row. Try a jab to the head then a hook to the body vs the cpu, try to use the stick to throw the jab then buttons ok for hook to body. I'm getting ready to upload a video "Southpaw Spammers" I have a ton of counter hook ideas in that vid. Should be done today, I planned on last night but ran out of time. Thanks again for the kind words and have a great rest of the weekend.

Nice video. Just realized I could have the health bar on. Been guessing on it for a while now. the only problem I have is that now it seems everyone just stands in the corner and only moves back. I tried planting in the outer center near them and they refuse to step in to punch ever. So gassing them is impossible, and they win the round by landing a single counter or power shot and then intentionally not engaging. Had one guy with higher stats clearly hurt me and then just backed up. He could have easily Ko'd me in round 5 but instead we went all the way to round 10 with neither of us punching and then he stunned me in one shot every shot in round 10 despite us both having full stamina I presume. Why waste our time? Wish the ref would Dq people like that. Then of course you have actual cheaters who mod stats or have infinite stamina that proceed to taunt the entire fight, throw 200 power hooks and uppers and still be swinging at 100 % in round 10.

@@kevingoodin1836 Thanks and man I'm so glad to hear you're having success. I'm working on another video, southpaw vs southpaw spammer right now actually. Krushner is awesome and so is Samuel Kramer. He looks just like Krushner fighting. But yeah, when and when not to throw is a massive thing. As you're probably finding out most people just wait for you to miss and they toss a straight out or go for a backstep straight. Also you're probably finding out that throwing 3 good punches is better than throwing 6 sloppy ones. Just let the fight flow and the stun will eventually come. My fights probably average 6 -7 rounds, with few first round ko's and go to decision more than most. Really what it all boils down to is accuracy and mastering overcoming the straight punch. Whether by counter, making them miss etc, beating the straight alone is at least half the battle. Have a great weekend and if there's any particular thing I can help with let me know for video ideas.

It all depends on the situation. Usually I will just throw a normal side step hook (you can throw a body hook when side stepping too) when they are fresh. If I have something like a 20%-30% stamina advantage I will throw power hooks. (e.g. you are at 86% stamina, the opp is at about 65% stamina) I usually get knockdowns when they are on the ropes and kind of tired. I will throw a power body shot to the left or right then a power hook to the head on the opposite side. So something like power right uppercut to body, then power left hook to head once they are on the ropes or in a corner. It's very helpful to go low/high or high/low on opposite sides of their body. Another thing that is really useful is using punches you haven't used much even if they are not levelled up. For example, it's round 6-7 and the opp is tired, I will throw some straights. Hook + straight, body jab +straight and what is really powerful is a side step straight. Even if the straight has 0 attributes/stats it can still stun them and definitely will hurt them. I don't throw them often but later in the fight they really help. All unused/unlevelled punches will hurt the opp once you have a stamina advantage but the straight is super powerful in that situation. If they are hard to stun you can drag the fight for another round or two making sure you save your stamina and try to make them throw. Stuns/KO seem to be directly related to the difference in stamina between the two players. Example: You are at 87% stamina - opp is at about 77% stamina, it may be harder to stun him. You are at 87% stamina - opp is at about 65% stamina, it will be easier to stun him. But yeah, when they are fresh, normal step counters , when they are tired power step counters . The sure fire way is to get them to the ropes/corner and go low/high left/right or right/left

@@cameronb9203 Yeah, it's hard. What I did long ago was build a bunch of characters like I saw people using online. Then I'd use those replica boxers offline and try to throw similar punches with similar accuracy while playing in "Fight Now" mode single player. (for example: 88 reach, 255lbs, 6'8 and throw 250 straights with 35% accuracy) Then I'd let the rounds pass/calculate and see what kind of stamina is being used. That does help, everyone is different but you can get an estimate. Then I'd switch sides with the controller and hit the test boxer with a bunch of body shots then switch my controller back to the test boxer, let the fight continue and repeat for each round. A good sign is when they kind of stumble or turn slowly as the bell rings at the end of the round. It's just a trial and error thing but if you will get it with practice It

@@eddyspaghetti6343 Thanks. Yeah the setup is covered in the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKjciq2shs2YiK8 the "Advanced Blocking Video" There are also drills to block better and counter. But I get you. I used to get bullied and beatup in there too. What I did was change my style to Brawler or inside fighter. (see video I linked there is stat sheet there) The toughness factor is most important IMO these days with all the spam. Brawler and inside fighter have the best chin. I then got the gold toughness boost. I set my chin stats maxed out, then block maxed out, then heart (body) maxed and last made my boxer very heavy. That increased my overall durability and that was a massive factor whether using longer reach or not. Many people max punches out first then neglect the block, chin and body stats, that's not a good way IMO. If you use too long of reach you cannot fight up close other than using straights so I avoid long reach. In my chicken wing video I show just how bad the long reach is. Its way near the end of video. If you build a durable fighter, use the perfect block and counters show in the south paw vs south paw spam video(my last one) nobody can bully you in the ring. I play on the xbox but I got a new job thing going where I have to work long weird hours for a while. Once done (prob 4-5 days) it would be easier if I just trained people for a half hour or so. In a case like that you want to try to crowd the guy so he's right on you and also try to crouch down like you did. Sometimes it's tough and that body straight will do a lot of damage from a distance. Try to stay as close as possible to people throwing lots of body shots. That will reduce their power and make them gas out.

Is it spamming if you throw equal amount of jabs and straights?? What makes a spammer, because i hate them!
@dequanjabooty7379
@dequanjabooty7379 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for delay, been away. No, equal amount is good to me. jab straight nothing wrong with that. but 500 straights 12 jabs is a bit much. I can actually call myself a body spammer because I throw a bit more to the body than head. But overall I don't see a boxer that throws pretty equal amounts a spammer at all. Take care and thanks again

@@dequanjabooty7379 you’re not a spammer your fights are calculated and that’s the name of the game. You’re doing what’s successful for you but not without thought.

I could swear this was t j Miller the whole time speaking. used the block on the training lasted 10 rounds worked well with 80 percent stamina average against training fight. link is the owc fight right after training. I'd play it back a little faster than normal. but you can clearly see the techniques being utilized. thank you! kzbin.info/www/bejne/amLJi2l6pMqGpbs

Do you play MW in OWC?
@dequanjabooty7379
@dequanjabooty7379 2 жыл бұрын
I used to. These are all heavies but MW is good too. The only thing I don't like about MW or LW is there is too much stamina for the boxers for the entirety of the fight No matter how much jumping, stepping or missing they do it seems they don't get punished enough by the game. HW, on the other hand, people can loose the fight by being very sloppy or abuse stepping etc. In the lighter divisions it seems like it doesn't matter. For me personally, part of a game plan is to use all that jumping around and spam against them. In heavies it pays off but in MW or LW not so much it seems.

Are you staying close? Try to test offline. I made this video the other day, it shows entire rounds of practice mode. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXO7Ypamr7RgaJY If you're still getting hit it's probably because you're moving your feet. 1 Try to not move your characters feet at all when blocking. 2 The next thing is staying close. Stay right up on him. 3 After that , it could be if you're using the philly shell block, body shots can get in easier. Try cross block. 4 Your block weakens the longer it's held down. Reset it after blocking 1-2 punches. Try using Frazier VS Ali offline, just like in that link I posted here. If that don't work I'll make an entire video only on blocking. Thanks man and take care, let me know if this helps at all

@@dequanjabooty7379 thank for the advice. I’ll try it out. I been plying this game since release as a 13 year old but the one problem I had online is that some opponents will throw the same punch with the same power and consistency. Straight hand or uppercut to the body. It’s weird when you anticipate the punches and try to block them and still get tagged with unreal accuracy. Also, I’m curious because I fought guys who are just good at blocking. Does the block style play that much of a factor over strength?
@dequanjabooty7379
@dequanjabooty7379 2 жыл бұрын
@@YouSoCrazy215 Yeah, the same punch is a real problem, the straight usually. The key is to make them miss a lot early and don't keep going forward early. They will do the backstop straight a lot so be careful. You have to let them miss and miss. Here is a video, (dude quit/lost connection later) but it still has the same concept vs the most common type of player. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6G7eIucoruSmck The blocking stats are super important and the style of block. IMO, the cross block is by far the strongest. the Philly shell is very weak and best for slick players that mostly counter punch. all of this IMO. One thing for sure is the philly shell is very weak vs uppercuts to the body. Recently I've posted a few vids with push straights and full fights with strategy against step back straights. The main thing is you gotta avoid the power straights at any cost especially until they are tired late in the fight. I'm working on other vids too that cover gassing out opps, that one should help too, should be a few days max. Thanks just focus on getting those straights to miss at first

It's true bro. I know how this game works and how most people abuse the game mechanics. If you see my video called "Chicken Wing Spam" the big ronald mcdonald dude was ranked #16-18 in the world by doing that one punch. I had to spam him to win. Had I thrown a regular 1-2-3 a few times I would have been knocked out. I had to spam straights to a specific side of his character to win. It's like you just have better knowledge of the game code and you're not using skill to play the game at all.
