It was kind of ironic when I heard this song. Four years ago, when I was in high school, I went through a dark phase. I didn't realize how dark that phase was until I was reading some poems that I wrote back then. Later that day, I heard this song, and I felt that I could connect with it. Thanks Fight the Fury! I thought no one would ever understand how I felt during that time.

This song perfectly states how I am feeling right now... I know this comment may get some hate seeing as they are a Christian band but I've always loved Skillet and John Cooper's and I love Fight The Fury. But I am in a dark place right now and music like this really helps. I myself am not religious. I don't hate religion or anything I think it's good for people to find something to believe in. My path has just led me in a different direction. I, like many others struggle with my self identity. I'm a closet bisexual in a family of extremely religious parents. I cannot even begin to explain the situation fully but coming out has a risk of ripping things apart so I stay hidden. I'm not going to say that my struggle is so hard that "I cannot" because there are so many more struggling far more then I am. But John Cooper and Skillet's songs have always reached me. They have always touched my heart and soul. This song in particular helped me get on my feet today. My struggle is real yes, but it's words like the lyrics in their music that help me know it won't be forever. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel. That there is hope even when I can't feel it personally. That... is the most comforting thing I've ever heard. I know they won't see this but thank you to John Cooper, Corey, Seth (dude we share a name), and Jenn Ledger, you have helped me and thousands of others in ways you could never fully understand. Music is the soul of humanity, it can bring us together or tear us apart. Never underestimate what putting words to a tune can do...music can change the world if we let it.
