I've only seen a few Milla Jovovich films (Resident Evil is a modern classic). What I like about her is that full on commitment to being "action sci-fi, horror, badass". I once saw an interview with her and, yes, she has younger brothers and nephews. She loves being a hero to them. And she LOVES that she does these films that appeal to 13 year old boys! SHE GET'S IT. And she throws it all down, her performance in each film shows that. Heck, that's WHY she's in them. Bravo. And why the fuck hasn't Tarantino noticed?

It’s a damn shame this movie gets so much hate. When the action sequences are so fantastical and great. Plus having little blood in the fight scenes is such a great stylistic choice (almost like the exact opposite of Tarantino). Bloodruns the society, through fear and power, and so they only show it when they are trying to convey a deep emotion. Also too bad no one ever bothered to make ultraviolet comics, the world they set up in this movie demanded to be explored in an animated version.

Interviewer: That's ok, we have plenty of guards so that really doesn't matter and for insurance reasons it's better not to fire the gun anyway. Applicant: Ok, but if someone breaks in and kills 200 other guards, shouldn't I shoot them? Interviewer: Sure, but in that case you should charge them and try to shoot them at arms length. You wouldn't want to miss, right? Applicant: That's true, I would probably miss at longer range. Interviewer: It's also best to charge in one at a time or else you might trip on one of the other guards. Applicant: Makes sense. Interviewer: Ok then, you got the job. I hate when she goes into a library and the guards like standing there like what's up what's up you're going to die been slaughtered all that guard in the library well looks like the the janitor has a lot of cleaning up to do cleanup on aisle 4 please and I find it funny on that part

The perfect actress for Black Widow

I have a feeling the last few movies she did really hurt her rep, but you're right she would have been an Awesome Black Widow, but I'm not complaining Scarlet was also an awesome Black Widow.

@@Ragnarok182 i guess also it's bc of her Resident Evil movies. Scheduling conflicts. But if not, they did miss out casting her as a superhero. Great potential.

Best part is it uses 3 dimension compression technology, that is the reason she could have plenty of weapons even though nothing can be seen.

Note to DVD collectors: The last part of the Library Fight Scene when Daxus asks _"How much weaponry does she have left?"_ and rips the balls off of the last guy is only included in the full movie in the Unrated Cut, as seen here. In the Limited Edition Steelbook it has been removed and only added as Deleted Scenes. The complete movie with all scenes included has a total running time of 94 minutes! All other DVD versions have 84 to 87 minutes only.

when the movie came out I only could see the cut version, than after years more completer versions were available, but always one had that deleted scene, the other a different deleted scene, but never complete. its really anoying
