You missed on one important thing about regular fighter - advanced training he gains at level 9 and later. There you can get some bonus to saves, initiative and your teamwork feats working without teammates having them (like an inquisitor ability).

for weapon mastery it makes sense to have a weapon with large critical range, not necessarily large crit multiplier on top of which you add; basic rectangle area calculation for DPS
@colinsmith14953 жыл бұрын
With a higher crit range, you can also worry less about enemy AC, as even your critical threats will at least be a hit.
@Justanotherconsumer3 жыл бұрын
I did the math once. 20x3 and 19-20x2 produce the same amount of damage on average unless there are extreme AC values involved (basically 20x3 is better if you only hit on a 20). 20x3 is better against damage reduction, but probably also results in more wasted damage on overkill (difficult to model).
@colinsmith14953 жыл бұрын
@@Justanotherconsumer And thus some of the wonderful depth of this complexity. Choose your own preference: prepare for high AC, prepare for high damage reduction, prepare for crit bonuses, prepare for crit effects, etc.

The 2HF scythe build sounds really exciting, but then you realize you only get the two main capstones at level 19 and 20, and you'll probably finish the game before that level..

hm. I kinda disagree with high constituton. the few hitpoints you gain are not as valuable as the AC you get from Dex. not sure if Fortitude or Reflex is more valuable tho. but a fighter without some wisdom to boost that Will safe is gonna have problems.

Great job! At level one, If you're a human fighter with 13 Dex, you can get shield focus and Missile shield(which works like deflect arrows). I wonder who has the better round per round DPS when built optimally. Fighter, or Slayer?

what are the best weapon training weapon choices for all classes of weapons? we know that there is the long bow for ranged, but what about two handed, one handed and two weapon fighting? I am speaking of the campaign as it stands in late 2020 after all updates and patches

Thank you this was very helpfull I'm playing a regular human fighter and on my last video it took me almost an hour to do my first lvl 😅 For a noob doing a blind playthrough on challenging difficulty should i be concerned if i messed up my early lvl up?
@wideout78383 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. The early game is extremely important to set you up for success later in the game. I’ve found that if you are ahead you stay ahead and feel incredible all game and if you get behind you start a death spiral and there’s no coming back from it. It’s up to you but playing blind first time on challenging if you don’t have a few min/maxed characters in ur party will prove incredibly difficult for you

Which kind of armor I should use for a two-handed fighter? Or how to survive long enough to "one-shot" everyone?
@SteveAkaDarktimes5 жыл бұрын
the heaviest you can get. you wont need as much dex as you dont get armor training, but you still got proficiency and you should use it.
@Wintermist-SWE5 жыл бұрын
Can you not build a really good Aldori build using STR instead, and use shield and heavy armour? What's the upside to going DEX that STR couldn't do? Wouldn't STR also get more feats to use overall since you wouldn't need to spend on feats that convert from STR to DEX bonuses? (Like not thinking for Unfair now, just generally, hell not even multiclassing, just sticking to Aldori, coudn't one build that way?)
@brokenvectorss5 жыл бұрын
I think that would waste aldori basic feat, if u wanna go with shield n heavy armor why don't u just do normal fighter? Aldori build is based on flexibility and swiftness, thats why dex build is better
@Wintermist-SWE5 жыл бұрын
@@brokenvectorss I'm playing one now and it works really well. Started with 18 STR and 15 Dex for shield mastery because I want some shield bashing action. No feats in a non multiclass Aldori says you have to focus on Dex builds, and lo and behold it actually works well :D I even get more feats to spend this way since I don't have to convert from STR to DEX.

A single fighter in the party is okay for an Iron Man run but what you want are summoners, you want lots of meat shields and deadly spells. Just finished my Iron Man run with a Herald Caller and he can do things no fighter would survive in endgame, even with all the buffing in the world as the video states. If you do wish to try an Iron Man do not go above normal difficulty btw.

There's actually a good number of dialogue moments with your single character that rely on persuasion rolls during the later stages of the game. These are all keyed of your own character and not any of your party / advisors
