I think fighters predict with an obvious bias because they know how important confidence and self-belief are in high level combat. Willpower is a huge part of what keeps them going through the painful and discouraging moments of a long fight. Knowing all your peers and elders in the same sport believe in you to win is a huge confidence boost.
