It was a good competitive close fight. My opinion: Triple G won that fight again. But my issue is the 12th round. Everyone knows GGG won that 12th round but 2 out of the 3 judges scored the 12th for Canelo. Oscar De La Hoya knows a Trilogy makes $. Boxing is a Business 1st 🤷‍♂️.

The last fight GGG clearly won in my opinion. This time around it was even harder to score. I still felt like I could give the edge to GGG. But I feel like this fight could have been a more fair draw result than the last time. Last time GGG clearly got robbed. Here I cant really say the same. It was in Las Vegas, under the promotion of Golden Boy with a Golden Boy fighter so of course if it was really really close they would give it to Canelo. I absolutely loved the fight itself though. I dont think I have seen 2 guys so well matched in a really long time. They could fight till the end of times. They barely ever clinched and when they did it was always clean. Referee barely had to do anything. Boxers can learn alot from these 2. I f**king hate Las Vegas and creeps like Oscar de la Hoya or Floyd Mayweather taking advantage of the rigged system over there. There is already alot of controversy about the scorecards, there was supposedly taken a point from GGG for a headbutt, but the referee never deducted one. Also 2 out of 3 referees gave the last round to Canelo but I really felt like GGG won the last round. My love hate relationship with Boxing is something I have learned to live with. Nowadays I am just analyzing the game and giving people my honest opinion. Yeah I was rooting for GGG, especially with all the PED controversy surrounding Canelo but this was a damn good fight so cant really be mad. We got treated with a legendary fight.

The fight should have been a brilliant draw. It was a fantastic fight by two brilliant warriors and none of them deserved to lose. Their fitness, skill and durability were on another planet to other boxers and deserved every penny /cent they got. As a neutral i thought GGG just edged it. GGG is such a great champ and real man who lets his fists do the talking not like Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan who got exactly what he deserved on the under-card fight. Can GGG keep going and training the way he does? Over 300 amateur fights 40 professional fights - how much can the body and brain cells take and would he still have the desire now? If GGG got robbed it was of a draw, if anything.Abel on the 7th round told GGG " We are loosing". Canelo gave them what they wanted so GGG Could do what they thought he could do to Canelo. The outcome was different then what Abel expected for GGG. At least Abel is happy with Canelo's performance, which is kind of strange but admirable. GGG is a great fighter and so is Canelo, the only way this is going to be put to rest is with a knockout which we now know will not be easy for neither fighter. Great fight!

You don't know much about this sport "Robbery" in boxing means the judges decision is TOO far from reality. In this case, as you say, the fight was pretty close. It could be to ona side or the other. But, as Canelo went forward the entire fight, maybe that's the reason the judges gave it to Canelo. I would do the same.

I will say this. When I watched the way HBO and everyone went berserk while GGG exited that building, it just made me sad as hell. Our culture is so superficial and monetary. This guy has given everything to the boxing world of a foreign country to his and all you people just trash him like he’s some worthless punk. He’s a 4 title champion that edged both of those fights, period and we are all so preconsumed by hype and sensationalism. The guy is a king one minute and a punk the very next? Even being sold out by his own beloved trainer. It’s like how I used to think I had all of these great friends all around my town. Then, most of my family passes away, I move overseas for a little bit, and come back to a bunch of people that couldn’t care less for my existence. Thankfully, I am stronger for it all now and realize what truly has meaning in life, but my point is this. Our cultural foundation is just weak and phony guys. Boxing experts at KZbin failed to understand Canelo won the fight. He landed more power shots with more accuracy than G. Also, judges do know about the fighters they're watching. For someone to go at G time and again and not only avoid getting hurt, but land more power shots. Gennady fought his heart out, but Canelo game plan and execution were perfect. Also the consistency of his performance. Despite a strong strong rally by Triple G in the late middle rounds (about 3 4 10pt runs rounds (between 6-11) where he did dominate throw and land a ton, it was still not a big enough window. Canelo weathered the storm and came back to snap Gs head back late in the 11 and 12. He fought perfectly and the kings age is starting to show

Sure, I'm bummed out that golovkin lost, and that does influence my feelings. However, the only reason Canelo won this fight is because he moved forward the whole time. Yet, last fight Golovkin moved forward the whole time and was the initiator of every engagement, and they gave Canelo the draw. Golovkin also threw and landed more punches in both fights. And, at the end of both fights Canelo is clearly worn down and golovkin shows he still has fight left In him. I felt that while Canelo was more agressive, he was not active enough to "control" the fight. If Canelo had moved back we would've seen the exact same fight as the first. I think there is clearly a degree of bias for Canelo because even the announcers were constantly talking down golovkin even though his performance was very solid. Honestly theyll probably have a rematch in another year, golovkin will win back his belts and then he'll either retire or lose them to Canelo again. They made too much damn money for them to not have another rematch, and the thicker the plot the more people they can attract.

Absolutely agree with GGG's trainer. Fight decided by 1 round, most likely the last round. Personally, I thought Canelo was ahead even going in to 12, but I can understand why some people might think GGG was on par. It was very close. Both fights could have easily gone all 3 ways.

This second fight was more of an up hill battle for GGG. Abel Sanchez said it himself, he told GGG that Canelo was bringing the fight to him this time and would be coming forward, applying the pressure and he was right in saying that. Canelo planted his feet, took centre ring and had GGG on the back foot alot of the time. Golovkin landed far more effective jabs than Canelo throughout the fight but Canelo's power/body shots made up for his lack of jabs thrown. That being said I easily gave GGG the first round....He threw his jab constantly and landed alot of them.... Golovkin caught Canelo in the 10th and rocked him for sure. There was a point in the round were Alvarez looked a little shaken and GGG took it too him briefly thus winning the 10th round. I had the 12th round even, both guys threw and landed some heavy shots, and both traded blows upto the final bell so to give the 12th round too Canelo was unfair. I would have given GGG the win by a round, possibly even 2 rounds having won the 1st and 10th and the 12th going too both. Such ashame for Gennady, I'm gutted for him. The guys a gentleman and a true sportsman. And in true fashion and style he accepts the decision, not a bad word said about it, no tantrums or disputes from him and he congratulates Canelo. GGG is the true champ of his devision and deserves every ounce of respect. I congratulate Alvarez on the win but I've lost alot of respect for the guy. A sorry excuse blaming contaminated meat, a pathetic 6 month ban which will have had little or no effect on his career and then straight back in...top of the bill against GGG. He's cheated, gotten away with a slap on the wrist in boxing terms and then finally prospered from it all by getting the rematch....I don't care how much a fighter is worth, the corruption needs to be taken out of boxing. Canelo should have been made an example of, end of story.

GGG won the fight. He was acting smart. His shots were powerful. The only credit to Canelo, that he was trying to stay in the center of the ring, but it is not enough to win the fight. GGG was great for his age. Almost 5 years Canelo was avoiding GGG, waiting when GGG gets older. Nevertheless, GGG made a lot more jabs, punches overall. I think, GGG was robbed the victory, despite very close fight, where both fighters showed great characters and determination to win. I saw the fight several times. The problem is that we expect GGG to win only be KO. So, my conclusion, is GGG was the winner. Canelo was barely moving especially the last 3 rounds, despite he was fast at the beginning rounds.
